Rating: Summary: Great to have everything under one roof Review: I wish I knew of this book's existence years ago. For too many years, I have been using several other reference books to "answer" my never ending questions and doubts on modeling and related subjects. It even has reference on non-concontinuous flow condition. A great book with lots of "weight." The price was right, too, I received this gem free as a bonus for signing up to attend a wwebcast sponsored by Haestad.
Rating: Summary: Keep this book at arms length Review: I use this as a reference every day. An excellent follow up to the previous Water Distribution Modeling publication. The book provides valuable information from a small subdivision network to entire pressure zones. Haestad has another winner on my shelf.
Rating: Summary: Advanced Water Distribution Modeling and Management Review: This book is an excellent resource for all professionals engaged with water distribution modeling and hydraulics since it combines the theoretical and practical aspects of designing a water distribution network.
Rating: Summary: Advanced Water Distribution Modeling and Management - Review Review: Great reference book! As a Junior Engineer, I've found this book extremely helpful...I only wish I would've had a text like this while I was still in school.
Rating: Summary: Great Reference! Review: I have recently recieved the Advanced Water Disribution Modeling and Management book. It has been a great reference book with up to date information. I have been involved in recent modeling projects, during which time, I used the book extensively. I continue to use this book on a regular basis.
Rating: Summary: Excellent reference Review: We have recently employed a First year Civil Engineering student, and threw her in the deep end with a water main design. She had to first model the area, and I gave her this book as a reference. Even with no prior experience, she had no problems following the process, and found the book easy to read. Quote - "I wish all my text books were this easy to follow". Great job Rick Luke
Rating: Summary: Advanced Water Distribution Modeling and Management- Review Review: Superb reference book! Written by the most knowlegeable experts in the water modelling field. This is a must have book for any Civil consultant involved in hydraulics.
Rating: Summary: Advanced Water Distribution Modeling_Review Review: This book is extremely useful in modelling applications. Easy to read, detailed an all round winner.
Rating: Summary: Best reference book I own Review: Advanced Water Distribution Modeling and Management is the best and most complete reference book I have seen. It is both a guide to water modeling and a practical reference to water distribution operation and management. As a project engineer with the Municipality, I have refered to it several times over the past year and have directed consultants to it to assist in their water modeling and calibration.
Rating: Summary: The bridge to give the jump between the theory and the pract Review: I have had experience in design of treatment plants and me I have looked for many years the way to enlarge my field of labor action to aqueducts and sewer systems. In this book I have found the perfect tool to be able to get the bridge among the reality and the pattern developed by Watercad. It is an excellent book that has cleared up an infinity of doubts and that I recommend all the people interested in working in hydraulics. Not only this book is exceptional; the four books that I have are jewels that don't have value for engineers dedicated to this work. (Advanced waterDistribution Modeling and Management; Storm Conveyance Modeling and Desing, CAiHE and FloodPlain modeling using Hec Ras.
