Summary: More powerful cash flow strategies from Cook
Review: In this book, you will learn even more powerful cash flow strategies from Wade Cook such as selling and buying puts and more. Wade Cook shows you how to use the stock market to make you money.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: More strategies by Wade
Review: In this second in a series of books on cash flowing the stock market, financial expert Wade Cook goes even deeper into his revolutionary strategies. You'll read more about covered calls, rolling stocks, stock split exit strategies, naked puts and more. This book will put your cash flow on turbo charge!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I agree with the reviewer from San Mateo regarding Sept. 17
Review: Isn't it really all so obvious that September 17th never even bothered to read this book?I've reread this book 4 times and never, repeat never saw anything where Wade Cook says that somebody made a million dollars in one day. Also, this is not just Wall Street Money Machine Vol. 1 on a "new cover", yes some parts are similiar, but there is also more informaion on rolling stocks, covered calls, stock splits which are NOT covered in Wall Street Money Machine Vol 1 PLUS new strategies not covered like naked puts and tandem plays and more.September 17th, try reading the book first before writing a review, better yet, try using the strategies and see for yourself how well they work. You'll be glad you did!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Dissappointing and overgeneralized
Review: Lots of energy and excitement, but low on specific details. Does a good job of hyping the market, but does not address common pitfalls or real life experiences. I came away wondering if the author had actual trading experience, or if was trying to sell something (his book) that appeals to greed and hope.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Don't waste your money indeed by
Review: not buying this book and following the proven srategies. Wade never made a dime in the market, that is true---as an educated quess he made millions. In 2002 Wade made over 22% in his account when the market was down.I wonder how much Wade's bashers made?

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Fun but be careful and don't buy the hyped returns.
Review: One of my few cautionary reviews of a trading book. I liked the book, but it is more motivation than it is a how to on trading stocks. Wade Cooks methods are valid, but the returns of 10%-20% are not, unless you take large risks. Covered calls are a good way to make money, but the stable stocks that most people want to own do not have call premiums in the 10%-20% range. Only very voatile "risky" stocks do. And for his rolling stocks, yes most stocks do trade in a range, but the lack of liquidity in most of the smaller stocks Mr Cook sites as examples means the chances of getting out quickly at a decent price are not very good. Enjoy the book, but be careful.

Summary: I disagree with September 17th (reader)
Review: The reader using the handle "September 17th" is so far off wth his coments on this book, that I seriously doubt if he actually read it.First, Wade doesn't just discuss buying calls, in fact, Wade discusses writing covered calls, buying and selling puts rather extensively. Also, nowhere does Wade claim that anyone made a Million Dollars in one day. Wall Street Money Machine #2-Stock Market Miracles is a good book and a great sequel to Wall Street Money Machine #1.I also find it fascinating that people like September 16th will attack Wade for mentioning his seminars but then in the same breath accuse Wade of not offering enough information. C'mon now Sept 16th! Wade is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't!!!Along the same lines, I know of people personaly who thought the cost of the seminar was too high but wasted ...in mistakes which could have been avoided with better training. If you think education is expensive, wait untill you pay the price for ignorance.

Summary: There may be other books, but are they better?
Review: There certaintly have been a lot of books on stock market investing released since Wade Cook's first book came out. Isn't it interesting how quickly imitators jump on the bandwagon of a popular topic, but only after someone else has paved the way?

As for the 1 star reviewers, I would be very skeptical of people trashing a NY Times, USA Today and WSJ best selling author. Who are they representing?

Wade Cook's techniques flat out work. And obviously there is alot of money to made in selling stock market investing. Just look at all of the Wade Cook imitators, books, tapes and seminars that have popped up lately.

Wall Street Money Machine Vol 2 is a great book for any serious investor.

Sorry, I hate to see an accomplished teacher, writer like Wade Cook get treated undeservedly. I guess I'm "old fashioned" that way.

Summary: You can probably skip this one
Review: This book is a revised edition of the author's previous work "Stock Market Miracles." If you've read that one, this is the same thing but revised. If you read the first book in the series, "Wall Street Money Machine Volume 1" you can pretty much stop there. It's kind of downhill after that book.

This book covers similar ground as his other books which are all starting to sound alike. I gained some knowledge and motivation from Volume 1, and I am making quite a bit of money writing covered calls as the author claims one can do. I thank him for that. The real problem with this book is the never ending advertising and pitching of his other products and seminars. I have nothing against an author promoting his other works and seminars, but when this author gets into explaining a new stock strategy, he breaks for a commercial sounding something like this: "for more information about this strategy, read Volume 4 and definitely call my toll-free number and sign up for my $3,500 seminar."

As for pure content, there is some in here. Unfortunately, advertising takes up much of the space. The 2 Appendices which comprise pages 195 through 228 are 100% advertising. The first Appendix which starts with page 195 and ends on page 214 is a transcript of the author talking to new salespeople he's going to hire. It's a not so subtle advertisement for his services. I kind of regret that I actually paid for this book. Why are all of his books in hardcover? Increase in price and perceived value? Wade Cook, nah. He's not interested in money. He makes all his money in the stock market, right?

On the bright side, there are some interesting strategies in this book. Nothing that any experienced stock trader has not heard before. I kind of recommend this book for beginners if you can keep your feet on the ground and be realistic about your chances of making a killing. This book is geared more toward buying options than writing (selling) options, and that's probably why I have a negative view of it. Buying options is very risky since you're buying strictly time value. As time goes by, so does the value of your options. You can make a lot of money, but as the author points out, over 80% of options expire worthless. Wouldn't you rather own the casino (write the options) than be the gambler (buy the options)?

I'm giving this book only two stars. I think the author was being unfair when he loaded this book with so much advertising. Many times in the middle of the text, he will intersperse a customer testimonial. They are believable as I have experienced similar results myself. That is assuming a person knows how to trade stocks and options. There was even one testimonial from a guy who made a million dollars in one day! Come on Wade, really. Every week somebody wins the lottery, but that doesn't mean everybody's going to play. It's the exception, and not the rule. Pretty good strategies. Too much padding in the book. Save your money. Buy "Trading for a Living" by Alexander Elder instead.

Summary: No more 9-5
Review: This book really helped me break into trading in a big way. Being that I was a novice at trading,Wade's "Wall street money machine really open my eyes in knowing that I could learn a strategy and perfect that strategy. I have been able to paper trade using call and put option trading, and the rolling stock strategy. I tell you I have gotten back 25,30,300% on some of these option plays in 1,2,5 days I've gotten back a 38% return in 20 days on a rolling stock play. For the life of me I can't understand why all the critism of Wade Cook has come about. Some seem hurt that they lose money using these stategies; so have I when I didn't plan my exit. But that's the market. Get over it. I thank Mr.Cook for this book.
