Summary: Fundamentals of Management
Review: Overall I believe this book is a quality product, although it needs some work to be done. It need to have more situations in the book that further the explanation of what is actually taught. Also when going over the chapter you should come out with real hard hitting knowlege and this book lacks this a little. Needs improvement but is overall fairly done.

Summary: Fundamentals of Management Essential Concepts and App.
Review: Starting out this book was very interesting but it lacks in some understanding of the definitions. I liked the whold idea about the definitions being at the side of the pages. I wish there were a short summary at the end of the chapters though. Also there were a couple of places in the chpt. that was written unclear or maybe just hard to understand. A lot of the charts and graphics used in this text book was very helpful in understanding what i couldn't understand in the text. I would say this text is easier to understand than most of my other classes though. I esspecially thought the leadership chapter was very interesting and very enjoyable to read. I believe overall this was a great textbook but all textbooks have thier problems but fortunally this one didn't have many!

Summary: A great feature in learning business management.
Review: The book Fundamentals of Management: Essential Concepts and Applications by Stephen P. Robbins and David A De Cenzo was used in my college Business Management class. When I first purchased the book, I thought that it would be nothing more than a supplemental material that would rarely be used for the class. As the class progressed, I found the features that the book used in presenting the material very helpful in understanding the concepts being taught in the class. The book's biggest strengths are in the way it presents the material and features that apply the material. For example, the book contains visual representations such as graphs, pictures and charts, and easy references in the side margins of the text such as definitions that highlight the main point. The feature that I found the most useful it the Testing Your Comprehension at the end of each chapter. Basically it's a multiple choice quiz that test your comprehension of the material presented in the chapter. Overall, I feel that this book is an excellent tool in learing the fundamentals of management. It is an excellent resource and an asset to the class.

Summary: This was an interesting book that was very useful to me.
Review: The Fundamentals of Management, written by Stephen Robbins, is quite an interesting textbook. I personally enjoyed the self-assessment tests in the book and on the C.D. ROM that came with the book. The C.D. ROM was the most useful for me. The tests helped me in completing part of an assignment. They revealed my personality and the best working environment for me. I also liked the easy reading of this book. It was written in a way that I could understand and learn from. The quizzes at the end of the chapters were useful as well. They helped me to know what I should have learned and what I still needed to study. I personally will not use this book later in life since I am not a business management major, but it was still useful for my class. It was also nice to learn some general information about management. I would suggest that anyone teaching a management class use the Fundamentals of Management.

Summary: It met all my requirements.
Review: The name of this book is Principles of Business management. The book in itself was not bad at all. The most useful part of the book to me was the glossary and index. I am considering keeping this book after I'm done because it goes with my major but maybe not if I end up needing the money. The words were easy enough to understand, just some of the concepts were kind of hard. My book has excellent pictures and grpahics in it. My favorite part of the book wasn't the book itself, but the CD rom that came with it. I have a minor in computers, so that made it even more fun and I enjoy those kinds of personal analysis tests.

Summary: This text helped me to learn and apply management skills.
Review: The text Fundamentals of Management Essential Concepts and Applications, written by Stephen P. Robbins and David A. DeCenzo was used in my Principles of Business Management course, taught by Dr. John Schafer at Hannibal-LaGrange College. The text was well written and provided real life examples and situations that made the text applicable in my life. My favortie features of this text include the CD-ROM which aided me in other class projects for the course and the quizzes at the end of each chapter which asked realistic questions of what the chapter was based upon. I probably will not keep the text at the end of this course because I am an Accounting/Business Administration double major, and I do not plan on holding a manager job for my career. One suggestion I have for the authors of this text is to make the chapters a little shorter because sometimes the material presented in drawn out, lengthy manner. The charts and graphs helped present the concepts and explain them thoroughly no matter how difficult the subject matter. This text definitely explains things in a much simpler manner than many of my other texts for other classes. The book may have helped to reaffirm my carrer choice to make me see that accounting is really where I want my career to be heading. Overall, this text was enjoyable and an asset to the class lectures.

Summary: Fundamentals of Management
Review: This book by Stephen P. Robbins and David A. De Cenzo was well done. Aside from the dry subject matter this book was a fine product to learn the fundamentals of management by. The chapters were well organized into the various patterns dealing with the five different parts of management. Example in each chapter were very helpful as a supplement to the regular reading. The format of each chapter lent itself well to the taking of notes and seemed to be set up good to teach from. To test the knowledge gained as the reader moved through each chapter there were quizzes provided at the end of each chapter. The quizzes were an excellent gauge as to what was needed to be studied for the test. All in all, there were many helpful points and very few drawbacks. I recommend this book

Summary: Fundamentals of Management
Review: This book has many good qualities. It has colorful, graphic, detailed chapters. This helps the reader to understand the contents. All the learning objectives are outlines at the beginning of each chapter. This helps enhance the material that the reader should comprehend in the chapter. The material is easy to understand, because of the way it is displayed. The personal experiences are great illustrations of the contents that each chapter contains. The self tests help the reader find their strengths and weaknesses in their personalities. I would recommend this book as a good freshman or sophomore college level book. I am in my senior year of college and this class is just a review or retrospect of the material that I have already had.
