Review: I found this book to be very informative and helpful as an introductory management text. The order of the book was clear and precise with smooth transistions between concepts. I appreciated the use of relevent stories to follow the concepts and also the Ethical Dilemmas in Management. They forced me to apply the concepts being introduced so that I would really learn them. This is an excellent book to use and follow and will help any student who is taking an introductory management course to successfully learn the material.

I particulary found that the answers to the learning outcomes very helpful. This book outlines points to know when finished with the chapter. They then answered those same questions at the end. Overall this textbook is very useful for an introductory management class.

Review: I gave this book a five out of five, because it is very useful for the engagements of management. This is also the first management book that I have read so I don't have much to compare it to. I have found it very useful for studying. My favorite part about the book is that it has the vocabulary words highlighted to the side with the definitions under them.

Summary: Journey into Management
Review: I have been studying this textbook all semester for a college course called Principles of Business Management. When I first looked at the book I found it eye catching. They made the book look like fun. I also became interested to learn what was in the book after reading the table of contents. My favorite section has probably been the chapters on leadership. I am very impressed that the authors put so much into this section of the book. They recognize that it is the most important part of management and I agree. We can learn all we want about how to manage but if no one follows our leadership then it is worthless knowledge. I cannot justly say how this book could be improved based on the information it provides. I haven't experienced being in a management position yet so I cannot discern what facts are useful or not. I found the book easy to understand and up to date. It was honestly one of my favorite books that I've used in a course so far.

Review: I have begun my second semester of business major classes. This semester I am taking Management and I have the same teacher as I did for Marketing last semester. He has selected two basic vocabulary educational books. Fundamentals of Management has been a good book in explaining the vocabulary and the text book rules of management. The layout of the chapters is in a reasonable order to understand management. The charts are very useful and the outline at the beginning of each chapter and the sample questions at the end of each chapter help prepare for the test. I highly recommend this book if you want to teach the text book rules.

Review: I have found this book to be easy to read and follow. The illistrations and charts really helped me clear up certain concepts the literature did not. The self-tests at the end of the chapters reassured me that I got out of the chapter exactly what I was suppose to. The feature that I seemed to skip over was the "Managers Who Make a Difference" sections, I am sure that this is my loss. I do not plan on selling this book back so possibly one of these days I will have time to go back and read them. I am sure they give lots of advice to situations that I will more than likely face in the business world. The only downfall I found with this book was that in some places it seemed to skip around a little. It began one topic went to another then went back to the first. However, with the illustrations and the summaries II usually figured it out. Over all, I rate this text as a all around good source of learning management. I feel I have learned many valuable leasons that I will take with me and hopefully put to use successfully not only in the business world but with a family as well.

Review: I highly recomend the Fundamentals of Management textbook. The format the book is written in fits my study habits well. The contents of this book don't just offer facts but applications for use of those facts in the field of work. I would also like to conclude by saying that the review and comprehension questions at the ends of the chapters serve as excellent study aids.

Review: I really am enjoying this book because it is helping me understand the true concepts of management. It is also letting me know what to expect to do as a manager as soon I have become one. It tells you how to help out your employees schedules so you both can enjoy each other and get along very well. It also tells you if you do not want your employees to keep calling in sick all of the time, you can try and set up a way for them to work out (staying strong and fit) during their free time or lunch time. Finally, I feel this book should be given to everyone that wants to become a manager so they can understand about the different trends that is happening in today's society. This would help them out very much by reading this book. I know that it has helped me to understand the role as a manager.

Review: I really have enjoyed this book. It has helped me to see things from the employees point of view. The chapters on leading have been pretty cool. It lets you see that you don't have to be a jerk and a dictator, just a manager. This is probably the only book that I will keep after the semester is over, because it will be great to review all that I've gotten out of it so far.
