Summary: Fundementals of Management
Review: I enjoyed reading this book very much. I thought that is was very clear and used very relevant examples to the topic. The chapters flowed together nicely and the chapter summaries were very helpful. The illustrations used assisted the reader in understanding the information and the terms are clearly defined. Not only did I learn management skills and techniques, but also interpersonal communication skills. The author attempts to teach the reader what is most important in the management field and doesn't talk about anything that isn't relevant to the topic. It is straight to the point and easy to read. Overall, the layout of the entire book was put together in an organised manner and specific information is easy to find from the colours used to separate the topics. I would very much recommend this textbook for any Management course.

Review: I enrolled in the class Principles of Management at HLG, and the book Fundamentals of Management was the book used. My overall reaction of the book is exceptionally high. I really enjoyed reading the chapter because they were put into terms that I could read and understand. I really liked that the definitions were in the margins as well as throughout the reading. The thing that I liked the most was the review at the end of every chapter. The review helped me see if I understood the content of the chapters. The graphics within the chapters also helped to demonstrate the concepts that the book was trying to illustrate. After the class I plan to keep the book because it will be a good reference in the future. This book has helped me understand management a lot better. Management isn't just black and white, there is a lot of soft gray area that is delt with in management.

Review: I feel that the textbook, Fundamentals of Management by Stephen P. Robbins and David A. DeCenzo, is a good book for the beginning management student. The book made use of illustrating it's points by using graphs. This is important for the students who are having a hard time understanding what the author is trying to say. It's hard for someone to succeed at something if they do not understand the different aspects. I would recommend this book to anyone who is planning to have a career in business.

Review: I feel that the textbook, Fundamentals of Management by Stephen P. Robbins, is a good tool for the beginning management student. Throughout the course, I learned many different approaches to becoming a successful manager. The book made use of illustrating it's points by using graphs, charts, and tables. This is important for the students who are having a hard time understanding what the author is trying to say. The author made it very easy to understand his teachings. However, I believe that there are two sides to management. These are the "good" and "bad" or "ethical" and "unethical" sides. The book touches briefly on the unethical side and the side is just as important. It's hard for someone to succeed at something if they do not understand the different aspects. This is my only complaint. In conclusion, I would recommend this book to anyone who is planning to chase a career in business. I know I plan on keeping this book for future reference.

Review: I feel that this book clearly puts its concepts in a language understandable to the students at hand. Through using this book and careful instruction I have already learned many useful tools that will aide me in my management position. Many of the solutions and formulas necessary for the work site are found in this book. This book further aides me in ways to get more productivity out of co-workers and also ways to settle differences between co-workers. I truly believe that if you are going into the management field that this book will contain the principles necessary for you to do your best.

Review: I feel that this book was well written and had many good points in it. The terms in the margins of the book were nice and the chapter tests at the end of each chapter were very heplful. In as far as this class was required for me and this was the chosen text it was a good asset for keeping up with the class work. Although I felt that this book was well written, it was not of interest to me personally. The concepts addressed in this book, I felt are best learned by real life experiences.

This book develops a solid management base that will enable a student to succeed in the rest of their managerial education. Each chapter is prefaced with a prevalant example of a current managerial situation that ties directly to the chapter's content. These real life examples help to encorporate what the student learns with how it applies to today. The combination of these examples and the diagrams and pictures that are distributed throughout the chapters, present an easy to understand and current depiction of management. The sectioning of the chapters and the questions at the end of each chapter help the student to organize the important information in their own mind. These questions emphasize the important points and give students a place to begin when it's time to study. This form of presentation is very student friendly and will definitely enhance their learning experience
