Summary: What every chiropractor needs
Review: Ivan Delman has outdone himself with the second edition.
There is updated information that applies to any practicing DC either new in practice or a seasoned veteran.
I have his book next to my desk in the office and I consult it often.
I especially appreciate the sections on how to train and handle employees.
I made a lot of mistakes in the past that could have been avoided if I had this book.
I recommend it highly.

Summary: Awesome book
Review: Ivan Delman's "Business of Chiropractic" is, without a doubt,
the best source on starting and running a successful chiropractic
office that I have read yet. Whenever I hire a new associate,
they read this book first, before they do anything else. Everyone
that I interview and every student that interns at my office is
recommended that they read this book. Every other practice
management book I have read is full of "fluff". Ivan breaks it
down to "brass tacks" and gives you the meat and potatoes. The
only negative comment I have is that I did not have this book
when I started my practice!

an office can be. while still in school i bought a copy of your

more money. you teach the things which SHOULD be taught in school
but aren't. i encourage anyone who wants to know how to do it the
right way to buy your book. thanks again, Dr. Dan Greenberg Margate, N.J.

Summary: Dr. Ivan Delman has outdone himself once again!
Review: This book deserves a prominent spot on every doctor's bookcase! The second edition of Dr. Ivan Delman's practice management "bible" is especially useful for doctors of chiropractic, but the solution-oriented business and marketing advice would apply to almost any small business, especially those in the health-care field.

Dr. Delman never disappoints. He has outdone himself once again, with this edition of "The Business of Chiropractic: How to Prosper After Startup."

The book is filled with specific practice management problems and solutions, with lots of hands-on information. It's useful for the new doctor, and can help experienced doctors take their businesses to the next level.

Dr. Delman's easy-to-read prose; vivid, real-life examples; and a touch of humor keep you turning the pages to find out what comes next. Some of the highlights of the book include: how to identify the four functions of any successful clinic; how to develop as a manager; how to use a marketing guide to determine your market viability; how to manage cash flow through the use of statistics and trends; and much more.

This book is an excellent read all the way through, and I have a feeling many doctors will find themselves referring back to it again and again.

Summary: An Excellent Resource!
Review: This book is a must have begining chiropractors. My husband and I each read the book individually then compared notes. Our busienss just opened this week and are thrilled with the info we gleened from this book. There were helpful tips on every facet of running the busienss and I am glad we read it prior to start-up. I am sure it will save us time and money in the long run! The book was worth every penny. Dr. Delman gives successful practice tips from his own experiences in the industry. It is a very straightforward read. We are excited to get our business started with this valuable resource at hand. We have recomended his book to numerous of my husbands class mates and will continue to do so!

Summary: Perfect resource for Chiropractors
Review: This is an excellent reference for medical practitioners of all disciplines as well as Chiropractic. It gives business guidance that is not taught in medical schools. I wish I had known some of these things when I started in medical practice in 1976. Dr. Delman speaks from experience and is a source of inspiration.
Using Dr. Delman's book should make business success much easier than going by trial and error.

Summary: A Singulary Useful Resource!
Review: With a thorough examination of the issues a practice faces after start up, this book is as close as it comes to distilling all of the required know how in a single useful book.

The organization of the information is logical and useful. Some of the subjects covered include Essential Clinic Functions, Delegation, Cash Flow, Paperwork Reduction, Personnnel, Marketing, Advertising, and many, many others.

This is by far the most thorough and useful single reference book on managing a chiropractic practice that I have ever come across. If you are involved in the management of a chiropractic practice, pick up a copy of this book and keep it close at hand. You will find yourself referring to it often.
