Summary: The Best Praxis Preparation
Review: In my opinion this is by far the best Praxis preparation book. The preparation for the Elementary school tests is also the best I have found. It would cost almost three times as much to get just the Elementary books from ETS and this book is better. I highly recommend this book.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Practice Test for test #0014 worth the price of the book
Review: Preparing for PraxisII test #0014 is an exercise in futility. Not much is around to help. But Barron's How to Prepare for Praxis" is an excellent beginning. The practice test was more difficult than the one I took (I scored 183 out of 200 qualifying for the ETS Recognition of Excellence and I've been out of school a long time). If math is a problem, I recommend Cliff's Math Review for Standardized Tests by Jerry Bobrow. This book could be renamed "math for dummies" so excellent it is. A must have for the mathematically challenged. I got both at Amazon; quick delivery and no shipping charge!!

Also recommend an online course (Praxis Secrets is excellent) to cut through all the obfuscation test preparers try to throw at you. Historically I was getting in the mid 400's on my SAT because I had no preparation. What a difference a few books make!!!!!

Summary: Well, Let me Explain the Unrevealed Praxis Secret
Review: The book covered a lot of information. I know the Praxis content is broad. The practice questions were good. I don't know how someone could read the entire book during test preparation though. Teaching Solutions is very good too at www.praxis-test-coaching.com You can pass by applying the principles of both programs or software/ coaching. It's a must to follow the instructions of author.

Summary: MY SCORES
Review: The perfect passing rate I have on the Praxis tests tells my story of this book. I have just looked at my third score report with high passing scores and have now passed the PPST, PLT and Elementary Praxis tests. I used this book to prepare for all of the tests and it is so great to have one book for three tests instead of three books for one test like it has been for other tests I have taken. This is without any question absolutely the best book available for the Praxis tests. I left every test confident that this book had prepared me well.

There is a review of this book on Amazon by someone named Richards that tells you exactly what this book is like and you should read that review not the book description to get a good idea of what is in the book. My suggestion for subject assessments is there is an overview for a lot of subject assessment tests but you will have go to a bookstore and look in the book if you want to be sure there is an overview for your test.

Get this book first to prepare for your Praxis tests. It would be unusual for a person to need another book and getting this book will save you a lot of money. I want to thank Dr. Robert Postman and Barrons for helping me prepare so well for these tests.

Summary: If you are taking the PPST, find another book!!!!!!
Review: This book is the exact same copy as Barron's- How to prepare for the PPST and Computerized PPST. This book is not worth the money!!! The Audio CD is also worthless.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: If only no stars was an option...
Review: This book was worthless and gave me ZERO help for the middle grades praxis tests. It focuses on elementary education tests and the PPST. If you are preparing for the middle grades PRAXIS II PLT 5-9 try The Best Teachers' Test Preparation for the Praxis Plt Test Grades 5-9: Principles of Learning and Teaching Test instead.
