Summary: Tradeable stuff
Review: Larry Williams does it again! Larry outlines some very tradeable, applicable strategies for todays markets. Lots of the stuff in here is good straight up, but it's even better as an idea generator!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: As always- The ever insightful Larry Williams
Review: Larry's new book is a must own. His ideas on money mangement, systems testing, and seasonality leave the avid trader with their mouth wide open. This book is truly inspiring.

Summary: Thanks Larry
Review: Long-Term Secrets represents a significant find and bargain; ....to be able to purchase what represents almost 40 years of wisdom, lessons learned and trading insight from one of the foremost authorities in the business is somewhat remarkable to me. This book offers trading axioms (what Larry refers to as the "fundamentals") that will make anyone who heeds and applies them a more successful trader. I would characterize this book as a must have among beginner and veteran traders alike. If I had to offer one criticism it would be that the book could use a good editor. The reader would benefit from corrections in the organization of some paragraphs and some incorrect references to figures and tables.

Summary: make up your own mind and be careful of harmful input
Review: Most people are the same in most regards. There is little that distinguishes traders from those in any other profession but for the path chosen. Unfortunately, the abysmal statistics regarding the success rate of traders falling below 10% is true. However, market analysts do not fare much better. They lose less but they come out ahead only slightly more often. Guess how many small business start-ups fail within the first two to three years - over 90%. This does not mean that this many people fail at everything they do or that things have to be this way. It just means that the same lack of planning and committment to one's goals is likely to incur failure in any worthwhile endeavor. Most successful traders do not write books, they would rather just trade. Some successful traders do write books. They want to share their thoughts, philosophies, gratify their egos, supplement their incomes, etc. We all have different perspectives and motivations. Larry is very successful - in trading and teaching. Why does he teach? According to him, it is a steady additional stream and people constantly ask him to do so. Will you prosper if you by this book (or any other)? The statistics say probably not. That, however, will be of your doing and not the author's.

Summary: Not Quite There
Review: Mr. Williams obviously knows his stuff. He does a poor of explaining it, relying instead on tables of data that make little sense and conclusions arrived at without benefit of adequate explanation or background. Therefore, unfortunately, it's hard to apply what he concludes.

There's enough here for several books. Good editing would have helped enormously. In my opinion this book is not worth the high price tag. Can I get my money back?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: S&P 500 trader.
Review: Mr. Williams specializes in the S&P 500. You won't find a better or more proven trader than Mr. Williams. He is very generous with his techniques and trading methods, complete with well researched studies of successful trades. His ideas can also be applied to other trading vehicles. You can't lose reading any and all of Mr. William's books. Well worth the purchase price, as you are capturing over 35 years of successful and documented trading experience.

Summary: is martian bachelor from Mars !
Review: Strongly disagree with his comments. We need comments on the merits on the book not personl virulence and invective !

The book is excellent in may ways and outstanding in parts like the curate's egg. For the money I can think of no better buy.
