Summary: review from the perspective of a rookie
Review: In this book, Joe stepped up to the plate, and knocked the ball out of the park! As a result of reading Telesales Tips from the Trenches, my work is more effective, more efficient, and ultimately more productive.

Many thanks to Joe for publishing his thoughts and best practices. Although nothing can replace experience, his insightful tips certainly help to accelerate the telesales learning curve.

Summary: A Killer Book!!
Review: What a great job! I've been in phone sales for 20 years and can tell you, you want this book. It's just technique after technique. Joe knows what he's talking about. I don't care what you sell by phone, this is mandatory reading for anyone or any company that uses the phone to sell. I personally hi-lited over 33 tips myself! There's no filler. I really liked this guys no nonsense style.

Summary: A good book that has no air.
Review: I read the book without any expectations, but I quickly realized that this book was differant than most books; The differance the author lives it breaths it every single day; I got the feeling that Joe truly wanted to do more than sell books; he wanted to help fellow sales people. Buy the book you quickly recover the price of the book.

Summary: Excellent Book
Review: This is a no B.S. book on what it takes to sell by phone.
Whether you're setting appointments or closing the deal by phone it really doesn't matter. This is a hard hitting book.
I like the authors no nonsense approach to selling. They're either a high probability prospect or not.
The book teaches you how to get in and out of calls quickly and find the buyers today. The best on phone sales I've ever read.

Summary: You wanted it, you got it.
Review: In this book, the author makes no bones about it. You're going to work to make a sale and get money TODAY! The guy know's his stuff. In our line of work, if you don't write business on a daily basis, you're out of a job. He cuts through the cutsy stuff and gets right to the point. Are we doing business today Mr. Prospect? He teaches you to get in and out of calls quickly to find the buyers and the real players. Why spend 15 minutes on the phone with someone who's not interested? He's right. If you're making 100 plus cold calls a day, and can close on the initial call or a follow up, you hit the lotto with this book.
I believe it's the only book ever written on the subject of the one call close. By the way, the author is very sarcastic, and really likes to hammer middle management and business owners.
Good book, thank you Joe.

Summary: The Reviews say it all
Review: If you sell business to business with a product or service you can close in 1-3 calls, you'd have to be nuts not to like this book. This is the book we needed. It puts every weapon at your disposal. One thing for sure, the author's not into chasing people. Are you buying or not? That's all he wants to know. If so, great, we'll talk. If not, good bye. I had a ton of callbacks, and after reading his section on callbacks, I contacted every customer I've been holding on to in the hopes they'll buy some day. Yeah right. That games over! I want a sale TODAY! Good book Mr. Catal.
