Summary: Just What You're looking For
Review: Every once in a while a book on sales and marketing comes along that's simply outstanding. This is one of those rare books.
Catal put together the greatest hits of phone sales techniques ever assembled in one book. His section on how to order leads made my company thousands of dollars. We use to just call up and say send 5,000 business leads. Not anymore. We order exactly the way joe says, and the results are astonishing.
Anyone who does business by phone, and doesn't order this book, is missing the boat on this one. Great book Joe!

Summary: A Money Generator
Review: Whether you sell by phone or not, this is a must read for any business owner. It really gives you some great insight on how people use the phone to generate business. I'm an accountant and don't call outbound, however I learned a lot about using the phone to speed up the closing process with prospects. Get the book, you won't be disappointed.

Summary: A Blockbuster
Review: It's amazing how much you can do with a phone to make money. Joe's book covers every imaginable situation you could encounter calling business owners. To give a sample from the book, when people say it's not in their budget, one of Joe's many responses is: I understand. You have to do what's right for the company. Generate additional sales, or stick within a budget. Are you sure the decision you're making is in the best interest of the company and its employees? The whole book is packed with hundreds of tips like the above on, and many samples for each problem you may encounter. Get the book, it's what you've been looking for.

Summary: A Powerful Book
Review: You heard the phrase, if it's to good to be true it probably is. Not in this case. If you sell business to business or would like to learn how, this is the book for you. Wtitten with some punch and sarcasm, and packed with more phone sales techniques than you could ever use. I read this book on a weekend, and Monday morning I started applying some of the techniques I learned. That day I made 2 sales using 2 of joe's techniques. This is a must have book for your sales library.

Summary: Da Bomb!
Review: This book has it all. I've been in phone sales almost 10 years. After reading this book, I realized I was using outdated sales techniques. Buyers today are very smart. They don't want to hear "how ya doin" when you start your calls out. That makes you come across like a typical telemarketer. Catal goes way beyond that. He doesn't care about the small chit chat, and trying to bond with your prospect the first minute you start talking. He's calling to find out one thing, and one thing only. Are you interested in what I'm selling. If not, click.
With more sales techiques than you could ever use in your life time. He does cover the specrtrum from soft sell to hard. Definetly worth getting. I personally think it's the best ever written.

Review: There's a lot of books on sales, but only a handful really address the issue of cold calling. This one takes you by the hand and covers every imaginable situation. I liked the book because it stripped down phone sales to it's basics. Keep it simple, short, and find out if the person on the other end is serious about doing business with you. If your'e going to get one book on phone sales, this is the one you want.

Summary: The holy Grail of phone sales
Review: I saw Catal do a one hour speech at a success seminar in South Florida where he lives. He was the highlight of the day. He's like the Don Rickles of phone sales. Funny but brutally honest. Why this guy doesn't have a regular column in national magazines on how to sell by phone is beyond me. He's a sales rep just like you, and he's kept notes over the years of his experiences. He literally has hundres upon hundreds of the best phone sales techniques he's learned throughout the years. If you're a phone rep, you'll love this guys book. I'm surprised he didn't make a training manual out of it,... Buy it, you'll love this guy. He's one of us, and had the guts to tell it like it is. I hope my boss reads it.

Summary: I Quit My Job
Review: After reading Catal's book, I quit my job. I've always been at the low end of the sales in the company. After reading this book, it was obvious why. His section on what type of sales person you are had me pegged. The outbound day to day grind doesn't fit my personality. I got a job sevicing exsiting customers who call in to order. I try to upsell them other products. I'm the #1 sales rep, and make more money. If you're struggling with your sales, I suggest you get this book. By the time you finish, you'll know if phone sales is for you. Catal's book is the best I've read on phone sales. If you're a business owner with a phone room, I suggest you read this book. You may be killing your own sales people chance to succceed.

Summary: A Wicked Book!
Review: It's obvious this guy spends a lot of time in the trenches. This guy's been dialing 300 Plus cold calls a day since 1985. This is a great book with hundreds of phone sales tecnhiques that you can put to use today. As you know, most of the training you get at work is mostly useless. These so called managers who never sold a thing in their lives think they know how to sell. We all know that's a big joke. Get Joe's book. It's for sales people who have to be on the phone day in and day out to survive. The best I ever read on the subject.
