Summary: Great!
Review: It was a very good book told with in an interesting way. I do not want to give it away. It is well worth it. I have been going to Disney for years and noticed lots of the stuff they talk about. However, some of the things talked about in the book about the practices, I am not sure if they are all true due to my experience in the parks. But this is a very good book that everyone should get something out of for any business situation. Happy Reading!

Summary: Two Thumbs Up!!
Review: Laser beam approach to 12 sigma quality!! The best book on quality I have read so far.

Summary: Simply outstanding
Review: No other book could confirm what I had suspected: Disney is THE company to look to for guidance and leadership. This book makes learning new management ideas very easy. Should be required for all business classes and executives! "Walk the Talk" with author Tom Connellan, as he and his "Gang of Five"--a mythical group learning from actual Disney practices--find the very obvious, yet mostly unknown, lessons of success. This book will WOW! you and tempt you to purchase tickets to Orlando right away!

Summary: Unsophisticated, less than insightful -- nothing new here.
Review: Sophomoric, simplistic gobbly-gook. The sophisticated executive will not get past the first chapter. Both my husband and I are in upper management and have returned this book. I guess with the word "Disney" in the title we should have anticipated childlike thoughts and writing.

Summary: HOLY GAMOLY what a read!
Review: Stayed up way over my bedtime and finished this book in just 2 nights! Being in customer service it's sometimes hard to keep that smile on your face, but after finishing this read, I'm recharged and full of GREAT ideas to use throughout my store. I'm full of PixieDust and ready to "Disney" all my customers. Disney's culture is simply AMAZING! This book catches and holds your attention, is easy to read, yet is very informative and gets the ideas flowing. Ideas and information that can be used immediately.

Summary: Great book
Review: The book has great in depth meanings to how business should be conducted and they just happen to be talking about a leader in the field. Disney is the best when it comes to customer satisfaction and the story is told in a very unique way. Try it you will like it.

Summary: Simple, but powerful principles!
Review: The first principle immediately grabbed my attention and I ended up reading the book through in one sitting. The ideas are so simple and yet so powerful. In particular, the first of the seven keys is absolutely correct and should be a part of every business person's daily objectives.

Summary: Simple yet powerful ideas
Review: The Walt Disney Company is famous for having an organization that is dedicated to customer service and quality of product. The author of this book has attempted to break down the culture and philosophy of Disney into seven easily understood lessons. Since I have not worked for Disney, I cannot judge how well the author did in his understanding of the Disney organization's culture and techniques, however, the seven lessons that he presents certainly make sense for any business environment.

I am always amazed at how studies of successful businesses reveal ideas that hardly seem earth shattering because they are so basic and appear to be simple common sense. However, these concepts need to be repeated over and over again. One such idea is to know your customers and keep them the focus of everything that you are doing. But in the business world of today, these common sense ideas seem to get lost in rush to make a business successful, which is odd because these are the very ideas that will make a business succeed.

This book was enjoyable to read and the lessons are presented to the reader in a series of entertaining and relaxed stories. After reading this book I felt a renewed commitment to the common sense ideas presented in this book. I recommend this book to anyone in business that would like to renew his or her own commitment to solid business concepts.

Summary: Good. For a seven year old.
Review: This book explains the customer service and overall business philosophies of The Walt Disney Company. The lessons and anecdotes it includes are very good, however the way they are presented is ridiculous. A tour guide who is not at all affliated with Disney takes a group of business people through the Magic Kingdom pointing out various interesting things and showing them just how great Disney is. Of course it all ends up with the stubborn, uptight last man coming around to see what a great company Disney is. How touching. This book was an incredibly easy read. Almost along the lines of; See Spot. See Spot run. Spot likes Disney. Anyone who would find this book useful should be insulted by the level at which it is written. It is worth borrowing for an afternoon quick read but definatly not worth buying.

Summary: Good overview of Disney style managment
Review: This book has a very good overview of Disney managment. I've been to DisneyWorld many times and I can say that if every business followed the "Disney Way" customer satisfaction would be greatly improved. A lot of information was common sense. A must read for anyone in managment!
