Review: This is a wonderful treatment of economic principles for students taking either a one or two semester course. I have taught principles of economics at the university level using many other textbooks, and I can safely say that this one is my favorite. Tucker has created a book that students can read, which is always half the battle. However, he does not oversimplify the material to arrive at clean, but erroneous, conclusions. He asks students to think critically, but he gives them the tools to do so via a series of very helpful causation chains.

The teaching and student supplements are also very thorough, with online exercises, quizzes, and additional readings. I understand that other books have become quite popular because of the publisher's aggressive marketing campaigns (Mankiw, Colander, etc.). This one will become popular because of its content.
