Summary: funny, inventive, and very helpful
Review: I bought this book because I love the show and also felt I needed to fine tune my management skills. It turned out to be delightful and extremely informative. Not only did I learn a little more about managing, I learned much more about effective communication. If you are a Sopranos fan or even a casual viewer, this book will thoroughly entertain you as well as teach you a thing or two.

Summary: US News, Toronto Globe & Mail
Review: I bought this book because I read articles the author wrote (on related subjects) in US News and the Toronto Globe & Mail. Like the articles, the book cuts through the crap and delivers the goods, while being fun to read. I'm using this book to help develop my team skills at work, communicate better and it's helped me in two negotiations so far. Tony Soprano may not be the nicest guy around, but I gotta say, he's a great management coach.

Summary: Italian-Americans Need To Boycot this Book!!!
Review: I didn't buy it--someone gave it to me for my opinion. I wouldn't waste my money on such trash! Isn't it enough that we have to put up with the show---now on to a book that sets up this fiction of Italian-Americans as mobsters! Cigar smoking Goombas, with lap dancers as entertainment should not be set up as symbols for good managers!

Besides that, the book really isn't well written. If there had been homage paid to those who have really made our country great--especially during Presidents' month---it would have helped. No remorse, no regret, not a nice book.

Summary: As Seen on CNNmoney and AOL
Review: I first heard abut this book on AOL. A witty but insightful poll compares Soprano and Trump (http://money.cnn.com/pf/features/trump_soprano/) "The Don vs. The Donald." The article makes a convincing case for Tony's leadership skills and cites some of the ideas Schneider writes about so articulately in his book.

But the book is more than just a fun read. It's a prescpription for management change, and it has examples that range from America's best known companies and leaders to foreign companies, not-for-profits and leaders of smaller business and organizations.

I vote for Tony as the better business leader. But whatever your vote, you'll find this book well worth the time and money.

Summary: this book is great
Review: I found Tony Soprano on Management to be extremely relevant and entertaining. It offers all sorts of unorthodox, yet effective ways to deal with situations. It's very informative and funny too.
Two thumbs up!

Summary: Save your business!
Review: I have friends and family in the business worlds, all managers, and after giving them this book, I'm happy to report, they've had conversion experiences. They all want to be Tony, without the bloodshed, of course. For anyone bewildered by the mad scrum of business world, this is a must, hard truth and real entrepreneurial wisdom in this book. Go out and get it!

Summary: My Promotion
Review: I just got a promotion, and this book has been invaluable in helping me make it work. I keep it in my deks and refer to it just about every day. Yesterday I managed a tricky negotiation thanks to this book. And every morning I go through a worksheet to help me manage better, shape my vision or just figure out what I want and how to make everyone work more successfully as a team. My job is going great and my group is doing great. Thanks Tony Soprano on Management.

Summary: I Love This Boook... And It Works
Review: I love this book. The broad-but-specific advice impacts every sphere of management, from meetings (standups, downs, the business chat, the "we suck " meeting") to team building (aka busting balls and building teams). There are Caremela's recipes for managing up, who moved my sense of humor, how to instill values, why "you can't just whack 'em, a mindset-shifting chapter on vision, rules to remember, even worksheets to figure it all out.

It's working. In just 7days.. this book has helped me work faster and manage better.
