Summary: Comprehensive Review to Pass Test
Review: I recently used CCH Wall Street Financial Training's Series 7 materials. I found them to be excellent. I failed my Series 7 exam first time around using Dearborn's materials. I found that Dearorn covered a lot of material that wasn't on the actual exam. CCH Wall Street's material was very readable. I would also recommend using their online testing tool. I walked into the exam the second time with no suprises! Best stuff out here is CCH Wall Street's.

Summary: The Average Person's Review of the Passtrak 7 Material
Review: Most people have written "books" as reviews. I'll just give you a step by step of my experience passing the 7:
1. Read the book front cover to back, completing all of the exams. Important: Make sure to review chapters that you've read everyday to keep the material fresh in your mind.
2. Take as many 100 question practice exams as possible on the CD-ROM. You will find that questions repeat after approx. 10 exams, and your score will improve approx 4 points each time.
3. Take the practice timed final.
4. Read the glossary - no kidding - it's great review.
5. "Hot sheets" are good right before you go in to take exam and to review day to day.
6. Use Barron's Series 7 (Stockbroker exam) along with this book. It explains some things better, and the questions tend to be more realistic. It's also excellent practice.
7. IMPORTANT: YOU GET AN EXHIBIT BOOK JUST LIKE THE ONE THAT DEARBORN GIVES. YOU CAN ANSWER SOME TOUGH QUESTIONS WITH THIS EXHIBIT. MAKE SURE TO USE ALL AVAILABLE INFO YOU GET! RELAX AND GOOD LUCK!

Summary: Passtrak Series 7 text review
Review: Overall, I was generally pleased with the Passtrak Series 7 set. However, the answers and the respective page references to the end of chapter questions (not the Q & A book) did not always match up to the specified page. Like numerous others that I know who have taken the exam, I found the text did not cover a significant amount of the material in sufficient enough detail. The actual exam had questions that could not be found or referenced in the Passtrak text. In addition, the details of some exam questions exceeded the detail offered in the text. I passed the exam, but disappointed with the amount of material that was missing from the text that I was presented with on the exam. I do feel that one could find more than enough accurate material in the Passtrak Series 7 set to pass the exam if good study habits are employed.

Summary: Did the trick
Review: The Passtrack 7 book is used by several bulge bracket firms to prep for the 7. The book is adequate and does the trick just fine. Anyone with a modicum of intelligence who studies the manual will have no problem.

Review: This book is ok as far as detail of material goes. It has a few mistakes but if you read it a couple of times you should have no problem passing the series 7 with it.

Review: This book is ok. Certainly if you study it, you will pass the Series 7 exam.However, some of the info is simply wrong. For example:
"Stock dividends are frequently paid by companies that wish to reinvest earnings for research and development. Technology companies, aggressive growth companies, and new companies are examples of companies that are likely to pay stock dividends."

Summary: Comprehensive Review to Pass Test
Review: This is an excellent book. I recommend completing the book in 25 days ~30 pages per day. Get the CD and do multiple 100+ questions test. Also, the audio CDs are excellent.

Review: You could memorize this book and still don't pass the series 7. There are better books than this. Stick with the discs.
