Rating: Summary: Fracture Management for Primary Care: 2nd Edition Review: As a fairly new Nurse Practitioner, I have found this book to be one of my most frequently used resources. It reviews terminology that is needed for communicating with the orthopedic specialists, as well as reviewing the anatomy and physiology of the most common fractures. The radiology pictures/x-rays are excellent for comparison and learning. I would like to see the authors incorporate highlighting or marking the x-ray examples so the novice knows exactly what they are looking at. Not all the samples are clear to the untrained eye. I highly recommend this book!

Rating: Summary: excellent organization, concise yet complete Review: I bought it at a sports medicine conference where all the major publishers had similar titles, and this was was the best. This one has a great "break"down of what you need to know, to refer, to treat, to watch for. Best bang for your buck especially if you have another text to complement it.

Rating: Summary: Good reference Review: This has been a very useful reference to manage my patients' fractures as a PA without a supervisor handy. The book is organized so that you can find any fracture type easily. The charts are a quick reference for reXR timing, cast type and length of immobilization. Very well liked by all of us in this ortho practice.
