Summary: Nanotech for everyone
Review: Nanoscience explained to nonscientists. This is a great book for those interested in learning all the new concepts and ideas that are believed to revolutionize technology. It is easy to read, it is very good-humored and stimulating. Well worth the time.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Easy to read, pictures are great
Review: OK, the Internet boom is over. It looks like nano tech will be the next boom, and it will last a while. I wanted a book that would give me a good into to nano tech, but not be a dry read. This book is an excelent overview of the technology, and how it might be used. I really liked the color photos. In case you are wondering (I was), the thing on the cover is a "Nano Tube". It is very small, and very cool!!

Summary: Great gentle intro to nanotechnology
Review: The book does a wonderful job of explaining what nanotechnology is, what it could be used for, why it is important, how it works, how to potentially make money from it, what fields of science affect it and are affected by it, and what are the potential dangers and ethical issues and more. The reading is very enjoyable for the technical person. Although the non-technical person will have some difficulty reading the entire book, fortunately one gets a good grasp of what nanotechnology is by reading the first few very readable chapters.

Summary: Noice jumping stone
Review: The book gives you the general understanding of nanotechnology with applications in different areas ranging from electronics to biology.

It won' t teach you everything you need to know about a specific area for sure, but if you need somwhere to start , this book is a good choice.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A thorough and excellent book
Review: The book is tailored for the non-specialist who has been yearning for an insight into a field that seems to exist mostly in rumor. The breadth of topics is astonishing, discussing the physics, the engineering techniques, the economics and even the philospophical implications of this new technology. The prose is also excellent - its casual and often humerous style helps make a conceptually difficult and technically demanding field approachable.

Summary: Just what it sounds like...
Review: This book explains some of what Nanotechnology is and is not going to be. What some of the current problems are, and the hoped for results from this research. Investors interested in Nanotechnology as more than a mere buzzword should take note of this book, and apply some of what has been said to the companies chosen to invest in (it provides few company names though, do your own research!). All around, it's a good beginning book and primer for investors.

Summary: Nanotechnology, A gentle Introduction to the Next Big Idea
Review: This book is a great overview for the non-scientist. I found it to be an easy and quick read overall. This was the first book that I read on Nanotechnology and I understood about 80% of what was being said, after reading 3 more books on the topic and coming back to this one - I understood about 95% of what was being said. I have given this book to several friends that are interested in learning more about nanotechnology and they all find it to be and helpful.

Summary: Nano Introduction
Review: This book provided an easily comprehensible overview of many aspects of nanoscience. Concepts were presented without too much overwhelming scientific language. All in all, a good book for someone who wants an introduction to the world of nanoscience, applications of nanotechnology, and how the future will be affected by new discoveries in this field.
