Review: BEST nursing diagnosis out there! I will never buy another nursing diagnosis book unless it has the Ackley name on it. All of us SWEAR by it. It makes writing the ADPIE's easy and there are pages and pages of interventions. Much better then the pocket sized book and VERY worth the money.

Summary: One of the best.. . . .
Review: Even though my personal favorite care plan book is Sheila Sparks, Nursing Diagnosis Reference Manual, this one comes in a very close second. . . Excellent interventions and related rationales (although the rationales are sometimes too brief for my taste). The client / family teaching section is wonderful and worth the price of admission alone. Overall: very good. Hard to go wrong with this one.

Review: Had to write my first care plan/case study. I have no idea what I would have done without this book. Making a nursing diagnosis and care planning for a student nurse can be a complex process. This book just brings it all together. It includes not only the nursing diagnosis, but rationales for nursing interventions and outcomes. Other students in the class have purchased other Care Plan books, however, most of the have been asking to look at mine. Two of them have already ordered their own. I will continue to recommend this book to everyone .

Summary: Best Careplan Book I've Used...
Review: I have 4 careplan books and this is the only one I use after two years of nursing school. The interventions are unique and the rationales are very detailed. And I love that they include nursing research in the rationales as well. Plus I REALLY like the companion website that goes with the book.

Summary: WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY
Review: I spent 45 bucks on this book and it was a HUGE WASTE OF MONEY...It is hard to follow and I am a second year nursing student and no stranger to the dreaded Careplans! I keep going back to the Springhouse 5th edition book that I bought last year now that is a good nursing diagnosis reference manual. This book is going to sit on the shelf and collect dust and cobwebs when that 45 bucks could have went to some thing more constructive..like my tuition!

Review: If you are looking for something to help you learn nursing diagnosis, and with ease, this book is for you. It begins with all different disorders and diseases, and under the disorder is the ND or ND's that go with that particular disease!!
It's great- even better than the Carpintenio books, and I have both!!
With each NANDA diagnosis it has the defining characteristics, R/t factors NIC and NOC outcomes, tons of nursing interventions and rationals also!! Each NANDA diagnosis also includes Geriatric, home care, and client family teaching,interventions, and rationals for each specific NANDA diagnosis. This book is PACKED FULL of help for those long dreaded care plans!!
