Stuart Levine's book takes you through the fundamentals of success in a straight forward, easily accessible and powerfully simple way. The chapters are arranged well and it is a useful book to keep nearby for frequent referencing.
The writing is witty and flows well. I highly recommend!

Review: Loved the book so much that I just distributed dozens of copies to the attendees of one of our company strategic planning retreats. Great reaction from all. Easy to read, easy to follow, real life examples, smart ideas - the perfect book to use as a "motivational" tool or morale booster. The key is that this book is good at virtually any level. Perfect to give to the new manager all the way up to the CEO. Unlike others, Levine not only states the activities necessary for success, but then explains the best ways to go about it, with plenty of real life examples and tips.

Review: At my 1st staff meeting of 2004 on January 5th, I provided my "Greater New York" team a copy of "The Six Fundamentals of Success". I took them thru the book focusing on those things I thought would get everyone on the same page and insure they work as a team to meet our aggressive goal to grow our business 25% in 2004.With only 2-hour meetings on January 5th, 6th and 7th and repeated references to the book, I have seen an incredible change in how the team is working together and is truly energized. With the book as a foundation, the team now believes we can make our budget for the year. I would encourage every business manager to read the book, share it with your staff and then just coach and facilitate their success! A great way to begin the year -- a must read!!

Summary: Great Advice for Leaders on their way up
Review: As a Vice President for a Fortune 1000 company, I surely appreciate Levine's Six Fundamentals because it helps me tremendously in leading my team of 200+ people and advancing myself on the corporate ladder. I have told my people to read and buy this book because if they understand and put them to practice, that will help me do my job better. Levine should put out a "Fundamental IQ Test" and I will test my people on how much they truly get the concepts. I have read more than 100+ leadership/management books in the past 10 years and this is certainly one of the best I 've ever read! Ram Charan's Execution is the only one book recently that can match this Levine's book. A Very Well-written book!

Review: There is so much overly intellectual BS on the business shelves today that I particularly enjoyed reading this clear, direct book. I don't have much time for reading anymore and this book cuts to the chase with specific information that really matters. You can tell the author lives and works in the real world with the rest of us. I've already put several lessons to work. Well worth my money and, more importantly, my time.
