Summary: Fundamentals are back!
Review: I enjoyed reading this book. After a period of corporate greed and major changes at the Board with the Sarbanes Oxley, it is refreshing to see many senior executives get back to basics. Levine's Six Fundamentals of Success could not have come at a better time to remind people the best path to get to the top is the one with high ethics and integrity!

Conduct yourself with Integrity is a chapter that stands out more during this turbulent times of corporate scandals. I wish Martha Stewart or Dennis from Tyco have read this book!

Summary: Success Has Begun
Review: At my 1st staff meeting of 2004 on January 5th, I provided my "Greater New York" team a copy of "The Six Fundamentals of Success". I took them thru the book focusing on those things I thought would get everyone on the same page and insure they work as a team to meet our aggressive goal to grow our business 25% in 2004.

With only 2-hour meetings on January 5th, 6th and 7th and repeated references to the book, I have seen an incredible change in how the team is working together and is truly energized. With the book as a foundation, the team now believes we can make our budget for the year.

I would encourage every business manager to read the book, share it with your staff and then just coach and facilitate their success!

A great way to begin the year -- a must read!!

Summary: Successful Business People's manual
Review: I run an international real estate practice for a large financial institution and a friend of mine recommended this book to me. I read it over the weekend and found it very easy to digest and applicable to my professional life.

Levine's Six Fundamentals spells out the important principles of conducting yourself successfully of a business man. I really enjoyed his good use of examples which really exemplified his real world experiences. You can finish this little gem in about one hour so I read it during my travel.

If you are in business, this is a very good manual to read!

Highly recommended!!

Summary: The Next Level of Dale Carnegie
Review: I took the Dale Carnegie course and read many of their books and found this book is the updated and modern world version of Dale Carnegie's principles! It is a great book structured with some very strong fundamentals that are truly timeless!

Setback makes you stronger is the rule that I like best! I will read this book a few more times as it is such a great read!

Summary: Without one, you won't be truly successful
Review: This is an interesting book as it outlines and includes every apsect of a truly successful business person who has enduring success! All the fundamentals may sound obvious, but the trick is most people do one or more fundamentals well, but failing to do all of them consistently well.

If you lack one fundamentals, let's say, "Conduct Yourself with Integrity" or "Make Sure You Add Value", then you are at best marginally successful. Master all of them and you will be a true winner!!

So read them all and LIVE them all - you will succeed!!

Summary: Very Weak
Review: As a CEO, I have read many, many books on management and leadership. And I have to say there are some really great ones, but sadly this one is not. Very poorly organized, no new ideas at all.

Summary: Make Sure You Get it!
Review: I was reading this book on a recent business trip on the recommendations of a co-worker and found this book truly interesting! The author's six fundamentals and their respective rules for getting it right are really key ingredients of success and should be mandatory reading materials for all new and middle managers!

I especially enjoyed the rule "Setbacks make you stronger" because when you have the right perspective on how to deal with failures in life, nothing can stop you!

Make sure you go out and buy one copy and recommend it to your friends!

Summary: Every few years you will find a best-seller
Review: Stuart Levine's "Six Fundamentals of Success" touches on all the most relevant subjects that successful people embrace every day. The unique and hard part is to distill those kind of wisdom in a very easy-to-understand manner and language.

This book achieves that and I will predict it will become a best seller! Personally I really like the Fundamental "Make Sure You Add Value" because most executives have a sense of entitlement after they have been on the jobs for a couple of years.

Make sure you pass this book to some of the up-and-coming future leaders in your office!

Summary: A Business Book with Global Apeal
Review: A good friend of mine from California gave me this book as a gift. After reading it, I strongly feel that this small business book has global appeal, its fundamentals particularly applicable to Asian business executives. Hope it has a Chinese version soon because I know it will sell very well.

I have been in business in China and Hong Kong for over 34 years and some of the rules in the book are great for Chineses business owners. Even though the author is not Asian, it seems to me he has some strong global experiences. "Invest in relationships" is a golden rule if you want to do business in China.

Summary: Amazing Book for Your Career
Review: This is the best career book I've read for a long long time. I am a principal of a headhunter in NJ and this book is a must read for professionals on their way up because it addresses all the relevant issues of people, process and principles.

For people who have just landed their job in a new company, "invest in relationships" is a golden rule and "make sure you add value" is another one to stick by. You will be going up the ladder! I assure you!

The book should also be named "The Six Fundamentals of a Successful Career"
