Review: This book is a great text for seasoned professionals down to students of the game. A valuable reference that my colleagues and I found to be applicable to many of the deals we are currently following.

Summary: Arbitrage? Ha.
Review: Well this sounds like an interesting book, but there is something disturbing about the terminology used. Arbitrage is by definition 'riskless'. The author seems to miss this very basic point in his description of the merger 'arbitrage' business. These investors are inherently assuming the risk that the union will not be consumated which is contrary to the definition of arbitrage.
