Rating: Summary: Anyone who cares about their future should read this book. Review: After seeing one of the the shows that Suze did about her book, I ran out and got it. She has a special way of talking to people and reaching people. I felt inspired after reading her book. It has helped my life and my future. I have now bought the book for my family and friends. Thanks Suze!
Rating: Summary: Got me thinking Review: I read this title and after it got me thinking (thank you) I picked up Trading Online by Patel - I think I am a lot closer to Financial Freedom as a result. The moral is that all the answers may not be in this one title alone.
Rating: Summary: This is a good book for everyone to get out a debt. Review: I believe this book finds you a way out of debt. This book also helps you know why you were in debt, so that you don't continue the pattern and you grow as a better person in charge of a better life for youself...debt free. Excellent book ... if you follow the steps you will be rich by next year.
Rating: Summary: good basic advice on personal finances Review: If you've just inherited several hundred thousand dollars and want to know how to invest it, this is not the book for you. But if you're just the average American, trying to get a grip on where your money goes and what you should do with it, I haven't read a better book. Partly because Orman's enthusiasm is so contagious and her approach so refreshingly non-financial, if you can imagine that. I think after reading this book you'd be far more likely to actually go out and DO the things she suggests than with most personal finance books. You have to read through some weird stuff about money's energy and money is like a person, but behind the new age voodoo, her advice is solid. Bottom line: if you have a knack for dealing with money, you don't need this book. But if you're one of the rest of us, buy it quick.
Rating: Summary: A very strange book Review: I don't think that going into a darkened room and placing a hand on your tummy is something that most financial advisors would consider a worthwhile step. But this new-age Suze is full of claptrap like this -- diving for childhood memories of money, reliving them, and forging ahead to create new "furrows in the brain." In the meantime, she seems to favor loading yourself up with insurance to the hilt, and buying mutual funds. <Gasp>. What astonishing advice!! (She is also against credit-card debt. Gasp!) THIS BOOK CHANGED MY LIFE. I NOW BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE EARNING $45,000 PER YEAR SHOULD NOT HAVE $75,000 IN CREDIT-CARD DEBT. I FULLY UNDERSTOOD THIS IN THE DARKENED ROOM WITH MY HANDIE ON MY TUMMIE.
Rating: Summary: A different approach to finances Review: Suze uses a slightly spiritual method of analyzing your money troubles, but it really works in order to change spending habits, etc. I recommend this book even to those who don't believe that "the past influences the future".
Rating: Summary: I highly recommend the financial advise of Suze! Review: Suze Ormond is a financial goddess! She is honest and straightforward about how people waste money and how they need to change style to attract money to themselves. I don't think their is one person who couldn't use her advise. She really opens up your mind to the truth of your finances and how they reflect your relationship with money.
Rating: Summary: The most rewarding and scariest book I have read Review: This book is the best personal financial book I have ever read. I also call it the scariest because it made me realize the dangers and pitfalls I will face if I don't take care of my finances properly. Suze writes in a way that is very clear, entertaining, and provides a wealth of knowledge. Normally I will get bored when I start reading investment type of material but she kept my interest throughout the whole book and I learned something with each page. You can not say that with many books. She also takes a different attitude on finances which is a more personal and spiritual approach. I don't usually go for the spiritual side and follow the practical approach but Suze makes sense and somehow I really believe what she is saying. This is a very worthwhile book and I plan on following her advice and I know that anyone who does will benefit from it.
Rating: Summary: This is a true Return on Asset! Review: Suze really knows how to speak in the simplest of terms. This well-written book combines common sense, questions you may be afraid to ask someone, and real stories to help you understand YOUR finances. Even if you don't think you need financial advice, you will be surprised at how much you can save without feeling restricted. I am not a book reader, but Suze really kept my attention the whole way through. A must buy!
