Rating: Summary: MUST HAVE Review: This book is brilliant and a must have in every American Household library. For me it was perfect for I easily get confused when it comes to money matters and seem not to understand the explanations that most financial advisors give via the written word or on TV. This book told me what I needed to know about the topic I had a question about. It is not a book to sit down and read all at once, but a book that at once can give you the answers you need to your current financial question. It will be my financial bible. I cannot wait till I can go on to the website and access Suze's newsletter. What a brilliant idea to couple a book with a bi monthly newsletter that will keep us all updated. This will be my gift of choice for friends and family Christmas 2001.
Rating: Summary: Wills & Trusts Review: My wife & I had just gone to a lawyer about creating a Will & Trust for ourselves. I have read several books on the subject, but Suze's book was the clearest. After reading just this one chapter I have several questions for our lawyer before we sign anything. Hey, I think he missed a document. Now that's important.
Rating: Summary: I LOVE THIS BOOK Review: I love this book. Unlike most financial books that are confusing and a great aid for insomniacs -- I found this book easy to understand and direct to the point. And it's well organized so you can just go to the section you have a question about. We we a first time home buyer and felt overwhlemed with the whole process. Suze answered all our questions and then some. And the newsletter is amazing. It's just like having Suze there to answer your questions.
Rating: Summary: Trust in Suze Review: This book contains all the up to date tax changes from the most recent legislation. It also covers the topic of trusts and wills with more detail than any other book I have seen on the topic. I am an attorney and I consulted with Suze on the trust chapter of this book. The questions were culled from hundreds of live seminar particants and years of trust clients and you get the benefit. There are no tricks of the trade hidden, no enticements, just the best effort ever to educate the reader on what they need to know to protect themselves and their families. The book is a source of great information for me on topics I'm not expert in such as insurance. Suze is a self made success and she owes nothing to any industry, organization, or financial institution. Who can say that in America these days? Who else has the freedom to tell you debt is bondage when everyone else wants you to go deeper and deeper so they can make more and more. This book should be required reading for high school seniors and college students so they can enter the work world prepared to make the most of their earnings and enrich their lives. Suze is doing great service to us all and may she continue for many years to come.
Rating: Summary: The Road To Wealth ... More a Vague Direction Review: Orman has produced a nice overview of financial concepts, though there is little that gets down to specifics. If you love the "philosophy" style (as made famous by authors such as Kiyosaki)as opposed to specific tips, then you'll enjoy this. Of particular credit is the plain english approach - any listener will be able to glean the key concepts without having to hold a PhD or be a Wall Street tycoon. In short, this a motivating and fresh look at some general financial principles, but not a collection of investment tips or techniques.
Rating: Summary: The same old stuff over and over Review: I, like an idiot, bought this book only to be very, very disappointed. Never have I been so upset with such a purchase. I was expecting NEW information--not the same old stuff. The only person on the road to wealth is Suze, who sells books that are well-marketed, but not well-written!
Rating: Summary: For Entertainmnet Only? Review: At the end of her TV shows it states For entertainment only
So is her book for entertainment only???????????
I like Personal Finance for Dummies.
Some "Dummies" books are too simple and have to many jokes
but Personal Finance for Dummies is pretty good.
Rating: Summary: Suze has great practical advice! Review: This is a no-nonsense guide to regaining control of you finances.
Suze covers so many important topics: savings accounts, retirement investments, paying for college, home ownership, taxes, etc. that this book can be used as a resource for the rest of your life!
Her helpful tips and common sense approach to bringing your financial world under successful management make this book a must-own for anyone making a serious effort to understand the best way to make your money work for you.
Buy this book, turn your financial life around!

Rating: Summary: Follow Suze to YOUR Road to Wealth! Review: My father recommended that I read this book, as he is a director of property tax and works in the business and finance world every day. I was scared at first at the size of the book, but it is actually very easy to understand and a great reference book. It has a convenient question-and-answer type format that allows the reader to peruse over various topics, or to narrow in on one in particular. I was greatly surprised at the immense amount of information that this book contains. Everything from the emotions of divorce and how it affects to finances to how to pay for college is covered throughout the pages. I would highly recommend that this book be found in every household, as it is would be an excellent source to turn to with many small questions- about wills, investing, and any other sort of monetary question. On a final note- Suze Orman also has her own tv show that is quite interesting and information as well. Just like the book, it is also not boring, but rather takes tough subjects and make them seem easy!
