Summary: A good book for all "emergency heros"
Review: This book is very useful because of its very good pictures and photographs. You can see all important facts at first sight. That is very good for people who want to review things they have learned some time ago. So that's why I think this is a very good book, not only for all "real" first responders.

Summary: Fantastic book
Review: This is a terrific book. It's written at a very basic, reader-friendly level. Likewise, the information is presented in a logical, organized manner. Also, the Student CD-Rom contains tons of extra resources, that really helped me master the material.

Summary: One of my Favorite FR texts
Review: This was my first text when I was training as a first responder and I'm glad I hung onto it after all these years. This is an older version but my no means an outdated version. The DOT standards have changed, so this book can't be used for the curriculum.

Some of the pictures are obviously old, as the clothing makes it obvious. The information that is in the book is no different than what you'll find in FR texts printed in 2002. The info is simple and to the point, just like it should be. The art work was good enough to get the point. The best part about the book was that is was light and easy to carry around, unlike many texts these days. You can throw this one in your bag and go.

For those looking to upgrade to FR I'd strongly suggest this title. Even if you're content with staying a standard first aid provider, I'd suggest this title just to expand on what you already know since it's always nice to know why you're doing something.
