Rating: Summary: Get This Book Review: Somehow, after reading Glannon's E&E I found the most complicated concepts becoming understandable and at times surprising simple. Get this book - I can almost assure you this supplement will help as well or better than any other civ-pro supplement out there.
Rating: Summary: The Bible of Civ Pro Review: There is simply nothing better than this book when you're trying to understand civ pro. Glannon makes everything clear. Start reading this book EARLY in the year and Civ Pro will make sense -- even Erie!
Rating: Summary: I concur fully with other reviews, this is the best Review: This book is a necessity for anyone hoping to succeed in their civil procedure class. Before I read this book I couldn't tell an interpleader from and impleader, this book will even unravel the quagmire of the dreaded Erie doctrine. I could not recommend a book more strongly than I would recommend this one.
Rating: Summary: The Civ Pro Bible!! Review: This book is amazing! If you have a Civ Pro prof like mine who explains something in 50 words when it only takes 10 - you NEED this book. I looked over it before every test and will definitely read through it again for the final. Read it for yourself - you'll thank me.
Rating: Summary: A must have for civil procedure! Review: This book is the BEST legal study aid that I have come across! I had heard about this book from my boyfriend who had taken civil procedure the year before I did. He swore by it and was absolutely right - it got me through civil procedure. Anyone who is taking civil procedure and doesn't buy this book is doing themselves a disservice!
Rating: Summary: Helped me get an A in Civ Pro Review: This book is wonderful to use as a supplement to your notes and casebook. It explains wach of the examples in a clear and concise manner. The extra hour a night I spent reading this book allowed me to follow along in class with ease. It is a definite must for anyone currently taking Civ Pro.
Rating: Summary: very helpful, but a few wrong answers Review: This book keeps you on your toes and makes civil procedure manageable regardless of how good / bad your prof is. Aspen just came out with a new edition (red cover); as a 2L who did well in Civ Pro first year, I'd recommend this highly.
Rating: Summary: Civil Procedure Bible Review: This book was a lifesaver for a law student trying to keep his head above water in Civ Pro. This book presents the subject in a clear, understandable, and somewhat interesting way. I would not recommend any other study aid above this one.
Rating: Summary: This book is a life saver! Review: This book was recommended to me by other 2Ls and 3Ls who attested to its strengths. It does a great job of not just showing you how the rules interact, but WHY they interact as they do. If you feel like you haven't pulled your course together for finals, take a few days and read this book, do the examples, and make a mini outline of its contents...it made me feel great coming out of my CP final, while others were scared. I was amazed to find some of the concept problems tested in the examples and explanations also showed up on the exam (in slightly different form) and I knew how to attack them b/c of this book. It also helps you develop a mental flowchart of how to attack just about any CP problem. The explanation on Joinder, Subject Matter Jurisdiction, and the Erie problem is excellent. Just remember the "three rings" that they give in the book that are a must for any case to have jurisdiction: Venue, Personal Jurisdiction, and Subject Matter Jurisdiction. It is a much better book than the Torts and Contracts Examples and Explanations.
Rating: Summary: Glannon is the best! Review: This is a great book for 1Ls suffering through civ pro or any law student or lawyer who needs a refresher course in litigation. Glannon refers to cases used in Yeazell and explains their significance in case law. It is easy to ready and my prof used questions modeled after his samples in our exam.
