Review: Seth Godin explains it all to you: the death of "interuption marketing" and the rise of "permission marketing." And he makes his point well.Anyone interested in the theory OR the practice of marketing should read this book. Although you may take exception to his style (brash) and his degree of certainty in the wisdom of his views(absolute), the fact remains he accurately and forcefully describes a meaningful trend. I happen to think he's right. You may not. But you owe to yourself to hear his arguments.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: If you are a "marketer" of any sort, read this book NOW! Review: I had never heard of "permission marketing" until I heard Mr. Godin speak at, of all things, Peter Lowe's "Success" seminar. He was given a few minutes at noon, and spoke to an auditorium that had pretty much emptied itself to go to lunch after a full morning of live infomercials. He was fantastic! I immediately purchased a copy of the book and devoured it in a day. I ordered six more copies and insisted everyone in my company (a marketing/advertising/promotions firm) read it. Buy it and figure out how to make it work for you; if you can't, e-mail me and I'll help you. It's more than a good book, it's crucial!
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Very redundant - could summarize in one or two pages. Review: Just another business book by another "star." Seth Godin has learned the art of stretching a few basic concepts into a very long winded book, and of course more money for his coffers. Better to just ask a friend who has read the book what it is about - it will be a short discussion......
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Heaven-sent! Review: As a professional marketing consultant, I devoured this brilliant book like heaven-sent. So I raised my hand as a translator of Japanese version. You are very lucky,if you have not read this book yet. You have the fun of "the joy of reading this book" :-)
