Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Excellent! Review: Great book - the authors make it totally readable and the material is presented in a clear matter-of-fact way. Illustrations are extremely useful and presented clearly.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The best introductory text to cell study Review: I really dont understand the reviewers who claim for a new updated edition. BUY SCIENCE MAGAZINES if you want to know the latest techniques, you Ana Gomes and the guy from Israel !!! This book is for people who want to study the cell, an intro, like learning to read and write for a person who is going to study literature.

Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: could be better Review: I would rate the book as a 6 star book if it mentioned anything about prions. But it doesn't. So I give 4 stars. Please try to do better in the next edition. Even so , it is my favorite book of molecular biology.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This is the best textbook ever written, period. Review: That says it all
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: A very comprehensive though unfortunatly not current book. Review: This edition (3rd) came out in early 1995 and I think was really written in 1993. (See inside cover for copyright info). As we all know much knowledge has acumulated since then and many techniques have either changed or become more advanced. It is still an excelant cellular level biology textbook but I think a new edition is in order. Alberts, are you out there!? ;-)
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This is the most fundamental book in the biological sciences Review: We are having an on-line class about genebank and alignment softwares and surfing on net we reached this page. Molecular Biology of the Cell should be the reference book for undergraduate students of all biological fields.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Exellent book with a need of total renovation Review: I'm a biology student in StPetersburg State University, Russia. This books can help a beginner very much as a really excellent guidebook for modern cell biology, but it's too old to be real thing for a proffessional in any area of contemporary molecular and cell biology.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Absoloutly fantastic....... Review: This book is absolutely fantastic. I find it very useful for my course. It covers nearly all areas of molecular and cellular biology from A-Z. The immunolgy secction is well considered, covering areas such as HLA, Antigens Antibody, Cell mediated respose, and so on. You name it its there. There wasn't one subject concerned with Molecular biology that I did not find ion this book. I look forward to buying the next edition of this book. Naz... Bradford
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Excellent introductory text Review: I am a computer scientist who needed a crash course in molecular biology. Normally I find textbooks soporific, but I found this both readable and interesting. Very impressive. It also seems very comprehensive, though I don't know enough to judge.
