Rating: Summary: good or not so good? Review: this book is pretty funny, one could read it in 40 minutes, gain a lot... but on the other hand is it worth the price? although the content is powerfull it relies on a kind of nearly disney world where everything is nice, happy and easy. each page leads to a mantra to apply, it is important to stress all of these, but as for a lot of management content it is basically just being sound and practical. so because it is well written and funny to read beside its valuable content it deserve 4.5 stars, but on the ohter end it is sometimes too easy and things fit too well that it could only get 3.
Rating: Summary: The Leadership Pill - A GREAT BOOK Review: This book was fantastic! It is a short, humerous and moving story that helps to clearly define a message that is essential in today's workforce. I strongly recommend this book to anyone in a management or leadership position.
Rating: Summary: Give it to All Your Managers Review: What a great book - brilliantly written and easily understood. My experience is that successful managers do the basics very very very well. This book is about just that...the basics, and it's surprising that most people in leadership positions, or those that want to be leaders just don't get it. Now they will -- Give a book to each of your managers, or managers-to-be and let them know you support the virtues within the Leadership Pill and watch them become a great leader.
Rating: Summary: Stranded at LAX Review: What could have been a long weather delay during business travel turned out to be an amazingly easy commute. Thanks to "The Leadership Pill!" Fun. Light-hearted. Yet, with so many simple attributes that define great leadership. As I read the book, I couldn't help but think back not only to my prior management roles within my corporate structure (internal customers), but also the important role of prevailing as leaders with our external customers as well. The leadership attributes that were defined in this book can just as well help individuals acknowledge the necessary leadership qualities with their external customers in their particular industry. To define ourselves as the "preferred supplier" and/or "LEADER" in the industry demands many of the same attributes necessary to manage a team within our own corporate structures! What an excellent book to keep these principles TOP OF MIND in a playful and impactful way. Ken Blanchard and new co-author Marc Muchnick ONCE AGAIN have another message worthy of sharing with MANY.

Rating: Summary: Another Awful Book from Ken Blanchard Review: Written at a level that would insult most third-graders, Ken Blanchard has managed to go from bad (Who Moved My Cheese) to worst with The Leadership Pill. Anyone that is legitimately interested in improving his/her leadership skills would find this book a total insult to their intelligence. Time to find a new management guru and let Ken Blanchard retire.
Rating: Summary: A "MUST" READ FOR ANY ASPIRING LEADER- AN AGELESS TREASURE Review: Your eyes will remain open for days after you read this book. This book proves that you can always learn something new from other professional/intelligent people. The author is a true expert in the field of leadership and motivation. He has written a book that is easy to read and fun, but most of all educational. Even if you have read many similar books, you will walk away with some new insight and fresh ideas. This book was a "breath of fresh air" for me and my associates.
