Summary: Great Material for a Leadership Seminar
Review: I loved this book! The Leadership Pill is well written, conveys a great message with clear action steps that can be implemented, and is fun to read. Authors Muchnick and Blanchard have created an easy-to-read guide to leadership that will help companies of all sizes develop effective managers, ultimately leading to more motivated employees and increased productivity. My company is very good about focusing on career development and employee engagement, and in the past year we have run hundreds of middle managers through a 4-day leadership seminar. The Leadership Pill should definitely be required reading for all of our managers and should serve as the keynote for our leadership seminar.

Summary: The Leadership Pill Is Full of Ideas on Effective Leadership
Review: I purchased this book at Barnes and Noble yesterday and I read it today. It is really easy to read and it is loaded with very helpful suggestions for leaders that explain how to effectively create a cohesive work environment without relying on force. I especially liked the ideas about "no Monday meetings," "lunch and learn sessions," "one-on-one 15 to 30 minute meetings", and "leadership shadowing." It was very powerful and thought provoking and it helped me to see some things that I can do to improve the way that I handle situations with my team. I have recommended that our training organization include it on their suggested reading list . Its quick, fun, and insightful.

Summary: Linking Leadership to Values
Review: I was encouraged by the message in The Leadership Pill: lead by values if you want to make it over the long haul. Too many companies focus so heavily on what Wall Street wants that they lose the soul of their respective organizations in the process. I like how the Effective Leader role modeled "the right ingredients" in this story. It gives leaders today a goal to shoot for that is rooted in core values. I will share this book with my team and put it in our corporate library.

Review: I'm always looking for material to use in my work that will appeal to the broadest audience possible, and The Leadership Pill not only has that appeal, it is a great story that reminded me that ethics and compassionate behavior in the workplace are alive and well. The message is solid and delivered with wit. I have now picked up the CD so I can listen to it when I'm driving or using the treadmill. How gung ho is that?

Review: If you are looking for a leadership book that keeps your interest and can be read cover to cover in under an hour, The Leadership Pill is calling your name. I was pleasantly surprised by the way Blanchard and Muchnick wove the essentials of being a great leader into this creative story about an actual leadership pill that comes on the market. This book really made me think about what works for winning employee trust and loyalty. In the end, it comes down to living the values we hope to find in others. Great book.

Review: In an enjoyable and easy to read parable, Ken Blanchard teaches leaders how to show integrity, build a culture of partnership, and make people feel important through affirmation. Blanchard argues that these values enable a leader to win the trust and respect of his team for long term and sustainable results. Blanchard weaves principles, ideas, and suggestions for establishing these values into his story. I recommend "The Leadership Pill" as an easy to read guide to improving your skills in leading and managing people.

Review: In my opinion, the biggest advangtage of this book is not just its expressing ways,but also its concepts and deep thoughts.At the beginning,maybe most readers think the Leadership Pill is the actual pill produced by LPI;However, finally, we can begin to realize the real Leadership Pill is the Secret Blend with the Effective Leader. This proves the author's dialectic ways of thinking about the world and things around.
What a good job Ken Blanchard does again!

Review: Ken Blanchard & Marc Muchnick shows the Business Managers at any level how to apply the Right Techniques for getting both results and commitment of their people especially when the pressures of performance rise high. The message is clear with the Pill Techniques that Leadership skills come with experience and is not an overnight success (a quick dose of pill formula don't work that heightens the leader's powers!) The book is in parable form of competition of two leaders with different management styles. A supporting, inspiring and motivating Leader can bring out the best with right ingredients of integrity, affirmation and partnership. There aren't quick solutions with pill technique but leadership skills require thoughtful implementations to encourage team spirits for successful results. Day to day workplace situation requires trust and respect and it is well spread a message by the authors to Leaders, as how to gain the team's confidence to derive positive and profitable results. The Book is great read and itself serve as power pill with right ingredients. A nice read & well focused on leadership skills.
