Rating: Summary: Demark on Day Trading Options Review: It's just another indicator(trading with setups). I've backtested it, and found his nine day setup method no more or less accurate than RSI, and stochastics. What was most upsetting was the nine day requirement for reversal was later in the book sort of taken back in the "size matters" section, so you couldn't really enter the market safely on day 9. I checked this with cattle charts and hogs, etc. and found I would have lost money if I had blindly entered the market on day 9. Trading with this indicator if used properly seemed to parallel signals with other popular oscillators. By modifying the "setup" to more than 4 days prior, it may be possible to parallel moving averages. The methods are similar to other methods in that it is not right all the time. In fact, DeMark fails to give us the percentage of being right from wrong. This is no magic formula. Like other indicators, the more often the signals are given, the more bad trades there will be, so good money management is crucial as always. What is appreciated is that DeMark, in all his work, teaches you how to read the price bars themselves as if they were indicators generated by computerized functions. I recommend the book for this reason alone.
Rating: Summary: Comprehensive piece on options and day trading. Review: I've read most of the books on day trading and this one seems to tie everything together well. In fact the techniques presented in the book seem to have application to day trading stocks and commodities as well. I was very much satisfied with the content and presentation but I would have preferred some additional option charts for stocks for purposes of explanation.
Rating: Summary: How else could TD call his son? Review: TD strikes again. The only one cashing in on Day Trading is TD. Don't expect this book to be of any help.
Rating: Summary: Unreadable garbage Review: The systems presented may have some merit, but they provide very little historical data to back them up. Anybody considering using these "TD" methods are urged to back-test them before applying them. After testing the methods myself on historical OEX options data, I am not yet fully convinced that they contribute much to the field of trading.Aside from the content, the level of writing is at 5th grade level at best. The authors simply can't write. This was the most unreadable piece of garbage I've ever had the misfortune to read. The whole book could be condensed to a 12 page brochure and still not miss a single topic. The other 330 pages are just worthless filler which add no value to the subject. This book is a complete waste of paper and natural resources. I could post all the methods on the internet and you would not even have to scroll the screen down to catch every topic covered in this sad excuse for a book.
Rating: Summary: The best investment you'll ever make! Review: I have read a lot of books on options and as far as I am concerned, the DeMark way is the only way. From start to finish, this book is loaded with useful information and practical advice. I have already incorporated these techniques into my own trading.
Rating: Summary: I think TJ DeMark is a genius! Review: A very well written book on day trading. I can't wait until he writes his next book.
Rating: Summary: The best damn book I've ever read on day trading. A must !! Review: It was very precise and well written book.I feel DeMark Jr
Rating: Summary: Don't waste your time Review: Please don't waste your time by reading this book. If you've money to burn then burn it but don't burn it by buying this book
Rating: Summary: I LOVED THIS BOOK Review: All the negative reviews were written by critics who NEVER read the book and criticized the writing style or grammar of other reviewers. Where is their dissatisfaction with the contents of the book. Obviuosly, they had none and I certainly didn't. I thought the book was well written and explained in simple terms a diffcult topic.
Rating: Summary: Not worth a Read Review: Nothing here that will help you trade the market more effectively.A zero star book. The book attempts UNSUCCESSFULLY to cash in on day trading's current popularity.
