Summary: Not one new idea, not one orginal thought
Review: Oh, man! What a waste of money this was.
It is a 2 paragraph thought sold for 20 bucks. And those 2 paragraphs do not contain one new idea. If you have ever read any book on setting goals or time management, save your money on this one.

The essence of the book is:
Identify your long term goal.
List all your tasks and align them to the long term goal.
Do the ones that are required to achieve that long term goal urgently and ignore the ones that do not help you reach that goal.

If you really need to read every word, get it from the library and save yourself some money.

Summary: Packed with a lot of Tracy-isms
Review: Please don't judge this book by it's size. Keep in mind that some of the all time best books were small; As A Man Thinketh, The Richest Man in Bablyon, Acres of Diamonds and more. If you are looking or were expecting one of Brian Tracy's huge 300 page books, you'll be dissappointed. But if you are looking for some nuggets of powerful information, you'll be very satisfied.

Brian is excellent.

Summary: I loved this book! It's changing my entire way of life!
Review: Thanks, Mr. Tracy, for this inspriational book. It's a quick read full of no-nonsense tips. Although its advice isn't really new to me (prioritize; set goals; make A-B-C-D-E lists; etc.), somehow Tracy's presentation and style got through to inspiring me. I am getting so much more done--things that are important to my meeting my goals. Finally! I've told a lot of people about this book, and have passed it on to friends and colleagues. We all talk about our "ugly frogs" now, and I actually look forward every day to "eating" the ugliest, biggest frog, instead of piddling my time away on unimportant tasks. This book was just what I needed, and a good investment. I highly recommend it, and can't imagine needing to read another book on procrastination. I wish I had read it years ago. A great idea: why not give this as a gift to your favorite high-school or college student? "Eat That Frog" cured me! It's not too late for you, either!

Summary: QUICK, EASTY READING!
Review: This book does not make for in-depth reading; however, the helpful hints and techniques found here are certainly worth reading. Personally, I would have preferred to see these suggestion expanded upon in greater detail. This book will be particularly helpful for those readers who want a quick, easy read. Those who find it difficult to set priorities, finish tasks, make the best use of their time and are winners at procrastination will benefit the most. We all have our moments of procrastination, and we live in such a fast-paced society with so many obligations that fall upon us. It is no wonder we are stressed to the max and can never find enough hours in a day to do all the things that need to be addressed.

While this little book is not going to solve all one's problems in time management, it is a helpful guide that may allow us gain more control over our lives, make the best use of our time and, perhaps, reduce some of our day-to-day stress. As I often tell my clients, "Each of us has 1,440 minutes in each day to accomplish our tasks, with the exception of the day we are born and the day we die. For some reason, time management is not a priority on either of those days!" Like all good advice, the suggestions in this book will only work if one is committed to putting into action the advice that is given.

Summary: Get past stalls - Do it Now!
Review: This book is a great complement to Tracy's 300+ page books like Maximum Achievement and Advanced Selling Strategies. What I like about this book is that it is compact in size and can be read and reread consistently. The exercises develop your mental muscles. If you are in sales, I also suggest Brian's Be a Sales Superstar. Don't set Goals by Wade Cook is also excellent and another quick, easy read that is jamm packed with information.

Summary: A froggie a day...
Review: This book is really quite simple but was just what I needed.

I had previously read Covey Leadership Center's "First Things First" time management and liked it, but found it cumbersome to go through the whole planning process. I would have great intentions and try to stay on track, but then get distracted and bogged down again. Complicated planning processes don't always work for us procrastinators!

Tracy's book is much simpler but it actually has been much more effective for me. I liked the imagery of a big, green, bulgey-eyed frog representing my most important task that I really wanted to procrastinate. My husband and I now have fun laughing about which "big frogs" are hopping around our desk! For some reason, it really helps me focus and get a great deal of satisfaction knowing that I have eaten my "daily froggie".

Now every day I concentrate on just indentifying my "frog" task and making sure it gets done. If I do only that, my effectiveness goes up for all the other tasks as well. Amazing!

Summary: Just simply a great book
Review: This book is so simple and powerful. Take the effort to buy this one and it will change the way you do things forever.

I used to spend all my time trying to be all things to all people and never accomplish anything quickly. Now I focus my time on what matters most and accomplish so much more.
