Summary: Great book for technical analysts
Review: "The Tape Tells All" The Professional Tape Reader published by Stain Weinstein (the author of this book) As the title of Weinstein's suggests he analyzes stocks via technical analysis.I believe this book and CAN SLIM can work together or you can use them separately. In fact I was surprised at the number of things that were similar in Secrets for Profiting... compared to How to make money in stocks. Things such as "Buy high, sell higher," ignoring P/E ratios, Relative strength, cutting losses etc... it was a very good book to confirm that the CAN SLIM methodology works. There was one glaring difference between CAN SLIM and Weinstein's methods. Weinstein doesn't care if a stock is making money or not, in fact he just buys and sells based on the technical analysis of stock charts. This book is full of quizzes charts, practical examples and easy to read definitions. And I believe this is a great addition to our bookshelves. I know it is a book I will refer back to. Reed Floren

Summary: I already recovered my investment on this book.
Review: After reading first six chapters I placed my first trade and successfully made profit. This book teaches very basics that every investor should know. Stan has done an excellent job in driving down the concepts. Even though the book is old, I did not have any trouble in understanding and applying the rules to current market. This book is ideal for lots of people who does not have enough time to read all news letters and keep upto date with the information overload. The techniques are completely based on the charts and some technical analysis. I feel obligated to write this review because I am going to greatly benefit from this book. Thanks Stan.

Summary: Best time value investment book ever
Review: Before I even reached the 60th page I was able to understand and read stock charts. There was more value in those 60 pages than in thousands of other pages from investment books that I've read. Continuing with the rest of the book, concepts like when to sell and shorting sunk in. He does it simply and succinctly. Just the way you need it when you aren't devoting full-time to investing. I am not going to be a buy and hold investor anymore after reading this book. I'm going to subscribe to a stock and screening service and be in control of my own investing destiny. This book showed me how!

Summary: Excellent comprehensive approach to chart interpretation
Review: Carefully following Stan Weinstein's rules for buying and selling will definitely protect against the serious capital erosion that so many investors and traders are prone to. But persistent adherence to these rules should also produce handsome profits. The investor or trader learns to ignore the headlines in the newspapaers and let the stocks tell the true story of where they are likely headed. Each chapter is clearly written, complete with numerous graphic examples as well as quizzes at chapter's end that cleverly test your comprehension of the principles covered in that chapter. Certainly one of the best books out on the technical side of the market.

Summary: The first few steps
Review: Fully explains charts, MA, RSI, Volume, overhead resistance, Stage analysis. When to and where to place Sell-stop orders, Buy-stop orders limits and GTC....etc. I liked his writing style, very easy to read and understand. This book doesnt cover MACD, Triangular breakout and the rest of 100 other things. You cant fit all that in 1 book. so he only cover the most important thing menthioned above.

The book expains the stages of all markets, support

Very inexpensive and packed with knowledge.

Summary: All You Fundamental Analysts -- Pay Attention!
Review: Hey, there's really nothing wrong with fundamental analysis -- stocks do go up over the long term due to increased earnings. But technical analysis is a very overlooked area by many investors, to their detriment. This book should be in every investor's library --that is, every investor who is serious about making money. Stan Weinstein's "Secrets" was among the first modern-day technical analysis books written, and has educated thousands of technical analysts and was the precursor to many websites devoted to the topic (like tradingmarkets.com, for instance). If you're still making your investing decisions solely around fundamentals, get out your credit card right now and buy this book!!!

Summary: Stan Weinstein's Secrets for Profiting in Bull and Bear Mark
Review: I am new to investing, but after reading this book I did lots of paper trading, and did quite well. From $....... I made $......... in 3 days. The book is very well written and explains the basics of technical analysis in a way that really opened my eyes to how to make money in the stock market. Everyone at work was asking me questions about it and wanting to know what to do to get started. Well worth the $.....
