Summary: A fun read
Review: Not a whole lot of information on how to, but more of an example of what others have done. Very enjoyable to read, I couldn't put it down.

Summary: Inside this gem, is the holy grail
Review: Its real simple, listen to a hundred daytraders and get a hundred different opinions on how to daytrade. the secret is in finding what they all have in common. The holy grail.

Summary: Fun Reading
Review: If you love the market and always wanted to be a trader this is a great book. It will not make a successful trader out of you but will give you some ideas about how to approach your own day to day dealings in the market.

Summary: A classic
Review: This book really makes you wonder whether all the years you have spent studying at College were a complete waste! In any case not everybody possesses, or will ever possess the skills of the interviewees.

A good book which in its simplicity stands out of the other ... available on this topic. J Schwager was probably himself more succesful collecting royalties out of this book than from the markets themselves...

Summary: Outstanding book
Review: I found this to be an outstanding book. Some of it will be somewhat esoteric, one of the interviews is with an options broker, who would be on the sell side, which most of us will never see. However, his descriptions of how even a broker can get hurt and what they need to be on the alert for were very interesting.

I agree with another reviewer here that the interview with Richard Dennis was worth the price of the book by itself.

There are people here who trade bonds, futures, options, and currencies. Well-done interviews with them are the keystone of this book. They tell you exactly what was going through their minds and why they acted the way they did in a given situation.

One of the most important things I took away from this book how each area of trading was truly a specialty in and of itself, and these guys are masters of their respective disciplines.

Also, there is the very interesting interview with the great "swing trader" Paul Tudor Jones, who has the uncanny ability to tell when market swings at the bottom or the top are going to occur. Anyway, I think it was in the interview with Jones where he says that he couldn't have made money in stocks, they're just too random compared to futures!

Summary: Must read. Dont miss it.
Review: Unlike many me too books after this, great traders like Paul Tudor Jones, James Rogers etc just told you what you wanted to read (not really tips, but ways of thinking, thanks to Schwager's intelligent questions) without hard selling how smart and successful they are. It's just one of the best buy in the bookstore (just so affordable the paper back version). However, I must warn you on this: Dont be too carried away by the rosy pictures of these top guns and try to copy a bit from each of them to form your own strategy. Instead, know yourself well and develop your own. Otherwise, you will become the footstool of these market wizards.

Summary: As close as you can get to the real traders.
Review: Great book. The one who wants to become a good trader must first listen to masters. And that what makes these (and The New Market Wizards) books so unique. I understood all my mistakes from the second reading of the book. Plan to read it third time and perhaps more in the future. Gems are often overlooked first time. Book is full of gems. I also suggest to make a bookmarks as you go. Then refer to them. There are common things to all great traders in the world. Common principles they follow and common mistakes they are avoiding. And the best way to discover them - is in this book.

Summary: Best Book on Trading
Review: Mr. Schwager interviewed 17 stock and futures market professionals. Many of them have proven highly successful trading records and have been well known to the industry. Intelligent questions and answers are throughout the interviews (although a couple of the traders in the book did not show the same depth in their speech as the others').

One of the most valuable things in the book is that you can learn what's in common (including trading strategies and philosophy)among the very successful traders. This book is highly educational for the new and the experienced traders. It's entertaining in many chapters as well. In my opinion, it's the best book on trading today and will remain the best or one of the best in the coming decades.

Summary: Good Read for Aspiring Traders
Review: I liked Market Wizards the first time I read it. I read it a second time to figure out what I needed to do to become a successful trader. Other than reading about trader after trader blowing out big time at least once in their life before hitting the road to success, I found the book enjoyable. The only real drawback is that it is low on actual usable strategies. I mean, what I'm looking for is some idea of what these trading gurus are doing to make all their money. The Best: Conversations with Top Traders, does a good job of presenting more winning strategies to accompany their backstories. Don't get me wrong though, when it comes down to good old-fashioned stories of rags-to-riches success and kernels of wisdom, Market Wizards is the hands down best.

Summary: Excellent Book!
Review: Few books can match Market Wizard in term of content.

I must say that Jack Schwager did a great job in interviewing those top traders. Being a trader himself certainly help in asking them the correct questions. While no specifix technics are reveal in this book, however, the insight and thoughts of the trader in term of trading psycology is worth the price of the book.

I am on my third reading. It is that good.
