Summary: Study hard...
Review: Finally a resource for the "cooks" out there who know absolutely nothing about what they are doing and end up blowing up their house, or worse yet, their children. "Joe Blow" next door decides he's gonna make some meth and then the cash will roll in, ignoring the fact that the chemicals he's bringing into the neighborhood could very well kill. Maybe, just maybe, this book can cut the casualties of production.

Summary: Good for those acquainted with advanced chemestry.
Review: First off, let me say I admire the work of Uncle Fester very much, his experience and skill with chemestry far surpasses mine (call me jealous:-}). This book works wonders for those of us who have an interest in this kind of thing. It takes away the pain of haveing to figure out how to make meth by ourselves and gives us a complete guide on what to do. I dont think you have much to worry about if this book falls into a 13 year olds hands because the fact that you require at least a high school degree in chemestry to understand any part of what is written in this. I think that this book is one of the best "Cookbooks" for alternative chefs to have in their library. It shows, in detail, exactly what to do, what you need to do it with, what not to do, and what the outcome should be if you did it right. I have sucessfully created mild ammounts of ecstasy and others with this book with perfect (or near perfect) results. All in all, I say its a good buy, just make sure you know what the heck your doing before you mess around.

Summary: Uncle Fester's Book is an Eye Opener
Review: How to Manufacture Methamphetamine was very well written and hae explained it so well that I think I could probably do it. However there is no way that I would ever consider doing something like that. It really educated me, though. I feel that we as parents and grandparents need to know all we can about drugs, since it is so rampant now and such a very real threat to our children and grown ups too. I pity the man who wrote his review from prison and told about all the drugs he had manufactured and just wished that he was free, so that he could go back to making and dealing drugs. That's so sad. Methamphetamine is one of the worst drugs that I have ever known anything about. I come from a small town that has just been devasted because the manufacture, dealing and using of meth is so rampant there. Several murders have occured, several people have had car accidents, young people have had heart attacks and strokes, many couples have divorced, several people have either been injured or killed in fires, and droves of them have been in jail and prison more than once, all because of meth. A man and his two sons have been accused of killing a family of four, including a 6 yr. old little boy and an 8 yr. old little girl, because the dad owed them money for some meth. They bludgeoned the mother and the little boy with a tire iron, took the father down to the river, where they slashed his throat, shot him twice, then pushed him into the river, then they took the little girl off with them and took turns raping her before they killed her. They said they only meant to rough them up and scare them, but they were so high on meth that they went to far. My own step-daughter died in a fire day before yesterday, because they were cooking meth. I hope the man who is in prison will read my review, think about it and have a change of heart and change his way of living. It's certainly not a victimless crime. I, truly believe that meth is the devil's favorite weapon. Mr. Prisoner I will be praying for you.

Review: I BOUGHT THIS BOOK TO COOK METH AND IT IS SO AWESOME!!! I HAVEN'T SLEPT IN 23 DAYS I MADE THE BEST STUFF IN THE WORLD!! Summary: A GOOD READ!!!
Review: I honestly believe any book that can make parents along with potential drug users think twice before using "RECREATIONAL" drugs,is fantastic...People need to beware of what is being put into this stuff!!! I mean some of the ingredients alone can kill you if taken by themselves...and who would want to?? It's horrifying to me some of the things ppl do nowadays for kicks..Everyone needs to read this book..find out more what they are up against...do something about it before it's to late!!!

Summary: narcoleptic review
Review: I purchased this book because I am on several types of prescribed amphetamine salts to alleviate the symptoms of narcolepsy.
This is a great book I would recommend to anyone who is interested in the chemistry of this medication, whether you have a legal prescription or one who has to desperately self-medicate their self as the majority of undiagnosed narcoleptics do.
This is also a great book that you just don't see lying around a physician's office for educational purposes and answered all the questions I couldn't ask my physician in fright of his response.
Research your drugs before you get involved with them, along with where you get them... a physician has a degree and treat many patients, but on the other hand I understand the meaning of self-treatment, self-medication and self-diagnosis, this was my only option for years before I found the group of physicians that diagnosed my disorder...
DON'T BE STUPID ABOUT TAKING DRUGS.

Summary: Great book, but not for the beginner
Review: I read this book and think that it's a great book IF you are already familiar with chemistry and lab techniques. Uncle Fester goes into great detail on exactly how to make Meth and I think that someone who's already familiar with chemistry and has a good amount of lab experience could actually make Meth using this book (not that anyone would actually do it, of course). He tells you several techniques, step-by-step, exactly how make Meth. But it's kind of like someone telling you step-by-step how to make nitroglycerine. It's one of those things that you don't want to just read about then go out and "take a shot at". If you don't FOR SURE know EXACTLY what you're doing, you'll probably find yourself in the center of a violent ball of flames when your experiment blows up in your face. Making real Meth isn't something that you just "jump into" (from what I've been told). We're not talking about making cupcakes here. If ANYTHING goes wrong, you're dead.
BUT if you are determined to learn how to make Meth (and live to tell about it), first go and get an education and some experience in chemistry, THEN with this book you'll have the rest of what you need to know in order to make it.
But my advice is, if you've never done Meth before, DON'T! It's extremely addictive (from what I've been told). In my opinion, it's FAR, FAR more addictive than cocaine. (seriously!)
In conclusion, this book is great for the experienced chemist, but dangerous for the novice.

Summary: Uncle Fester for President
Review: I think all of Uncle's books should be required reading for college freshmen; Fester 101. These books should be found in every patriot's library. The information needs to be made public for the time when it may become useful again. Sorry folks, you can't go to the hardware store and cook up some speed or LSD or explosives or vest busters. If we truly lived in a free society this could happen. Unfortunately Big Government has made chemistry an illegal activity even if you just want to experiment as a hobby or out of natural curiosity. However if you have passed Chemistry 102 AND Biological chemistry at your local college you may pull off some of these recipes. Maybe. You will have to engage in illegal activity though; hence the hardware store is out. If you have the ability to procur the items needed to run a lab then you are probably already involved in crime and it will be much easier to just buy speed rather than cook it. You will go to prison for a shorter sentence as well. God bless you Uncle Fester, if only we were free.

Review: I use this book during substance abuse seminars I give to parents. This serves as a great eye opener to all that if you want to find how to make something, no matter how illegal or dangerous, it's out there. Very scary and informative book.

Review: I will not comment on the posting by Mr.Abrahao, other than I rarely see such honest and public display of pathology.
As a person who has experienced first-hand the devastating consequences of drug-addiction, I am appalled at Uncle whatsyourname's book. This alleged father of 2 has absolutely no concern for human life and shows tremendous irresponsability in writing a book with potentially tragic outcomes.
It is no secret that crystal-meth has become one of the most widely used drugs in the United States and that a sizable portion of its users are teenagers. Regardless, methamphetamine is an extremeley dangerous drug that can cause permanent brain and heart damage, not to mention death. It is difficult to calculate the societal cost of this most vicious drug. But one can only wonder how many untimely deaths it has caused, how many emergency room visits, how many rehab admissions it has led to, how many acts of violence were perpetrated under its effects.
I am a firm believer in the First Ammendment, but freedom of speech has got to have a better system of checks and balances. Allowing for the publication of a manual on how to slowly kill yourself and others, and/or become a permament burden to the Federal Justice System is freedom of speech gone beserk.
Luckly, it looks like meth or crank recipies were banned from the internet. I tried to find a recipe (just out of curiosity, I am not a good cook, especially when it comes to poison)using different search engines and everytime I was cleverly directed to a rehab facility's website instead. Why can't the same enforcement apply to this outrageous book? Why does a reputable retailer such as Amazon even sell it?
I urge anyone who is interested in buying this book to go to one session of meth anonymous, or narcotics anonymous or what have you. Just go to any 12-step or receovery meeting; do yourself this favor and listen to the stories of those who have had their lives and dreams shattered by their uncontrollable drug addiction. If you have any respect for yourself, your family and human life, please do not buy this book.
