Summary: Ok for idea generation or dreaming of riches
Review: There are some decent things in this book that make a good deal of sense. Items like save first and then spend and letting compound interest work for you are time tested methods for wealth creation. Then there are things like tax leins and network marketing that SOUND great but are often more hassle than reward. Finally, and most concerning is the mention of Nevada Corporations which are getting a lot of people in trouble with their state revenue departments.

The section on covered calls was good as a start, probably the most sensible of the book. Buying options on the other hand is by and large a suckers game. There is nothing on how to price options, or when to sell vs buy as a function of volatility.

Famous for his No Money Down seminars and books, there are several chapters on real estate in the book. Enough to wet your appetite, but far from a be all end all in becoming a guru on property purchases. There is just too much work and knowledge involved in buying property for most people to do it well. The author mentions getting a real estate attorney, and why someone would buy a $100,000 anything without an attorney is beyond me. With attorney fees, a title search, and insurance you will have over $1000 wrapped up in a property purchase. So much for no money down.

Tax Leins and Network Marketing fall into the sounds nice section of the book. Tax leins in most states can take years to collect on. Sure they pay high interest, but what no risk investmet pays high interest? Secured by a property of someone who can't pay bills on time? Network Marketing, if you are not a super motivator of people you will not do well. And I suspect super motivators are selling books and seminars not soap and vitamins.

There is also far too much call me for this special report, visit my website for this special book. Perhaps when you get to his section on kickbacks/affiliate programs you will understand why. Finally, Nevada Corps if you don't do business in Nevada are a bad if not illegal idea to avoid taxes.

All in all ok, but not great, you need to buy the tapes or the seminar for great I suppose.

Summary: Excellent Book, a must read for committed wealth builders
Review: I've read this book over and over again, especially during times when inspiration helps the most. I have been and met Robert Allen in person and his seminar was an eye-opener. I continually read Robert Kiyosaki and Robert Allen books to for inspiration here and there.

Any wealthbuilding book is only as good as the reader who is willing or not willing to take action. You will need to be willing to take risks, have faith that everything will work out, even in the worse of times, and know that it is possible to reach your goals and dreams.

The first thing I needed to work on was overcoming my fears, which can hold a person back if not taken charge of.

Everything that is in the book is top-notch and timeless. The bottom line is that you have to JUST DO IT (like the Nike commercials). Otherwise, your mind will just find reasons to nay-say excellent books like these.

There are people who have gotten financially free using Robert Allen's and Robert Kiyosaki's books (I know because I have met friends who have used the books and are now financially free)

Then there are the majority of people who read the book but have not worked on conquering their fears. Things like "Oh what if it doesn't work" or "You'll get into a lot of danger with that advice" or vice versa. They are only looking for the negative side of it. Even they have decided to keep their minds conditioned for looking for the negative.

These people are called DREAMSTEALERS. This book is all about DREAMBUILDING.

If you find yourself complaining, or skeptical, then wealth building is not for you; you're better off staying in a risky 9-to-5 job 9 (nobody can argue with this anymore)

When you are willing to take action and not afraid to lose money or face some hot water (in other words, when you're ready to take courage and LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST NO MATTER WHAT) then books like these are timeless coaches and sources of inspiration.

This is an amazing book. It is totally up to you if you want to follow through and take on the heat. Nothing great would have ever been accomplished if it were not for hard work, perserverance and courage. Only the biggest rewards go to the biggest thinkers and biggest hearts.

I strongly recommend this book. Nuff' said yo!

Summary: A True Inspiration!
Review: Robert G. Allen is a true inspiration! The man is a financial genius and he incorporates his ideas on his success by referring to his web sites and other books. This man has inspired me to try new avenues to change my financial way of thinking! I recommend this book to anyone looking for information to increase the potential of their financial future. After reading this book I am looking forward to reading both Nothing Down and Creating Wealth. Now it's time to put his ideas in motion for myself.

Summary: Great Book Bob!
Review: I guess the people who bash this book would prefer to read a financial book by someone like Jane Bryant Quinn. How many people have made a fortune or any money at all following her advice? I rest my case.Or perhaps these bashers think the Road to Wealth is a college degree and work 9-5, 40 hours per week for 40 years and think that their employer will take real good care of them right? WRONG! Or perhaps these bashers feel the real key to wealth is to invest your 401 (k) money in your companies stock or you rate your wealth by your stock options huh? Ask employees invested in Lucent, Compaq or Enron how good they feel about retirement considering whats "left" in their company 401 (k) plan or by the value of their stock options (those who haven't been downsized that is).Robert Allens book is a excellent book for anyone who wants to reach permanent and rapid wealth. He teaches you how to invest with index funds and create cash flow with covered calls and options. He shows you how to 86 your job and start your own business through Network Marketing. He talks about the internet and licensing; real estate, discount mortgages and tax lien cerficates and then he shows you how to put it all together.Whats not to like about this book?I also recommend Who Stole the American Dream. For those who are happy with mediocity, keep your J-O-B *Which stands for just over broke) and read Jane Bryant Quinns book.

Summary: 1 Part Good Info + 2 Parts Hype = AVG Book
Review: Robert G. Allen is one of the bravest and most shameless self-promoters on the planet. This book includes a lot of great ideas that you'll be able to find in other "You-to-Can-Be-Rich" books like the "Rich Dad" series (which I highly recommend). But don't take everything in this book as Gospel.

One stock strategy he promotes in the book, "the Dogs of the Dow" sounds logical and like a great strategy. After looking at some charts on different websites and researching this strategy further, I wouldn't invest my hard earned cash on these Dow dogs. They'll probably bite.

Other advice offered is more sound. All in all, this is a good book with a lot of ideas. But I recommend you research these ideas thoroughly before jumping into investment waters without a life jacket.

Summary: Not Worth the Cover Price
Review: The book starts out with great chapters on strategies for making money. As it wears on, the ways to add "a stream of income" become more and more abstract...and ridiculous if you ask me. Robert G. Allen is more interested in pluggin other books, progrmas, seminars, network marketing companies, etc than writing a sound personal finance book. He attepts to squeeze the reader for more and more money by asking you to visit his website where his buddies have "streams of income" waiting for you...at a cost. Overall, the book has some very good points and strategies but you have to sift throgh the crud to get to the good stuff. I have also learned that although you should not judge a book by its cover, any book with a sparkling cover should not be purchased. If you need a cover like that to get somone's attention you didn't write a very good book.

Summary: Packed with useful information
Review: Robert Allen has wrtten a excellent book on creating diverse streams of income. From basic network marketing to tax liens, discounted mortgages amd franchising. If you are interested in diversifying your income or a career change, this book could be your ticket.I also suggest Cashing in on Cash Flow by Laurence Pino for even more cash flow strategies.

Summary: Great, Then Good, Then Ok, Then ...[Stinks]
Review: This is a pretty good overall investment book, with some good investment ideas, that may work. The book starts off well and kept me interested up to the last chapter on Real Estate, Chapter 10. After that, it just started to sound more and more like an infomercial. If you buy it, don't read past chapter 10.

Summary: An Absolute Must
Review: Apparently some people don't realize who the famed Robert G. Allen is. The author of Nothing Down and Creating Wealth of 80's fame. The man is a financial genius. I don't think he is bragging by mentioning his success. The only people who would think that must be jealous or just ... because they'll never get anywhere. LOL! I've read other titles by him and this one is the best. This book will really light a fire under you and get you headed in the right direction. All of it makes perfect sense and I couldn't put it down. I would recommend this book to anyone and definitely suggest everyone buy it. You won't be disappointed.
