Rating: Summary: We should have built our treehouse, last year! Review: My husband, three sons and I had so much fun! The illustrations were great, we knew what we were doing every step of the way. I highly reccommend building a treehouse for anyone who has children, especially little boys. I know where my kids are now all the time, they're in the treehouse.
Rating: Summary: The only tree house book you'll ever need! Review: The best book on tree houses! This is a great book for adults and children. David Stiles is the leading authority on tree houses and this beautifully illustrated book covers everything you need to know on how to build them. From conception to construction, this book will tap into your childhood dreams and set you to building the tree house that is right for you. Practical step by step instructions, and full color spreads of finished tree houses and huts. If you are even thinking about building a treehouse for your self or your kids, this is the only book you will ever need.
Rating: Summary: Best book out on treehouses!! Review: These guys are experts, and it shows. With two kids of my own, we've built 2 treehouses out of this book, and the kids loved them. There are many different designs for treehouses in this book, and they are all different and interesting. We've gone through many treehouse books since my kids are obsessed with them, and these have the clearest building instructions, and the most interesting designs.
Rating: Summary: Good "How To" Review: This book has good advice for the novice treehouse builder. It is 90% technical and 10% inspirational. Not as complete on some technical information that a professional builder might want, but I don't think that professionals are the intented audience for this book.

Rating: Summary: A great help building a basic tree house Review: This book is terrific! I purchased it as inspiration to build a treehouse for my two kids (7 and 5 years old). The book includes many different designs, one of which fit our needs very nicely. The construction tips and material guides were very helpful, as was the list of extras that can make the treehouse that much more fun. My kids love the treehouse and I've enjoyed building it very much.
Rating: Summary: A clear, practical and beautifully illustrated guide. Review: This book provides all you need to know about building your tree house. The instructions are clear, the illustrations precise, and the subject is covered carefully and completely. Our six grandchildren join me in saying "Thank you!" to David and Jeanie Stiles for a tree house I actually could build.
Rating: Summary: A book that clearly illustrates how to build a tree house. Review: This book was written to help kids and their parents build a tree house in their backyard. Since every tree is unique, it follows that no two tree houses will ever be exactly alike. There are, however, basic tree house building fundamentals that can help you plan and build your particular tree fort more easily. We describe how to support a platform using braces, how to connect to branches, and especially important, how to build a level platform. Since every tree house builder is limited by the number of trees growing in his or her backyard, we show you how a tree house can be built in one tree, two treees, three trees and four trees. We also include the fun parts of building a tree house such as how to make a secret escape hatch, a rope bridge, a telephone, plus pulleys, trolleys and swings. Finally, we interviewed over fifty families who have built tree houses and listened to their ideas and suggestions. Terrific photographs of their tree houses and comments are included in the book.
Rating: Summary: Useful and Fun Review: This is more of child-oriented book, with cartoonish pictures and designs best suited for kids. a more serious book about more serious tree houses is called _Home_Tree_Home_ - pro9bably the best book I've found so far.
Rating: Summary: Tree House: I Actually Built! Review: This is the only tree house construction book that demonstrates simple principles of tree house building rather than prescribed plans and solutions that probably won't fit your situation! The illustrations are easy to understand which is critical for the project to be a parent/child joint initiative. The authors seem to truly care that your house building project will become a pleasant and memorable experience.
