Summary: For the Self Employed
Review: This book was very well written and had a good level of detail. However, it was almost completely focused on individuals who are self-employed or own their own business. There was relatively no information for the employees of the world, no matter how much they earned.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Loads of Ideas
Review: This book will give you tons of ideas on how to save money and pay fewer taxes. It's a great companion book if you are thinking about working for yourself. It gives you reasons for forming certain corporations and why you would want to do them. If you've never thought of forming your own corporation to save on taxes, you need to read this.

Summary: Great information, if a C Corporation is what best fits you
Review: This book, one of the several from the Rich Dad series, contains a wealth of information about setting up a business to gain advantage of the tax deductions it has to offer. To do so, it walks the reader through a sort of case study, with the author and a married couple, where the two spouses each has a business.

This all is great, except for the fact that the elements discussed about business structures other than C Corporations are very superficial. It has a VERY STRONG focus on this type of business entity, which is not necessarily bad, just limiting, since it's like trying to fit a round peg in a square whole: not all businesses necessarily HAVE to be run as a C Corporation.

Summary: Great book
Review: This is a great book and should be included in everyone's library. In "Loopholes of the Rich" Diane Kennedy does such a fine job on explaining why the rich are rich and the poor and middle class will continue to struggle if they don't change the way their money is earned. If your looking to one day be financially independent, do yourself a favor, read and learn the material in this book.

Summary: Don't waste money unecessarily on taxes
Review: This is a great book for simplifying our understanding about taxes. I enjoyed it very much, got some great ideas. I also enjoyed More Wealth without Risk by Charles Givens when it was released.

Summary: Lacks substance.
Review: This is the usual drivel that Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad, has been offering up to an unknowing public for over a decade. Although it was written by a so called "expert", Diane Kennedy, CPA, it smacks of Kiyosaki up and down. Very little meat on this bone. It is no more than a bunch of platitudes and a hazy sketch of how to save on taxes. One of Kennedy's tips, "...try to get hidden business deductions." WOW! Why didn't I think of that! What a guru. Shame on Kennedy and Kiyosaki for trying to push this on any unsuspecting entrepeneur who is just looking to get a few tax breaks.

Summary: Loopholes of the Rich
Review: This is with out a doubt one of the best books I have read on the subject of taxes. I read it once just after it came out and really liked it. It helped me in discussions with my CPA resulting in a tax savings of over $12,000, using ideas he had not thought of the previous year! Later, I used what I had learned as a guide to setting up my business structure for additional savings the following year. Tha author has a great talent of making complicated tax issues understandable for the layman. I reciently reread it and found it delightful. Good job Diane Kennedy.
