Summary: GUTS! A great read for anyone in business...
Review: Jackie and Kevin have proved to us with GUTS that people make the greatest difference in the sucess of todays businesses. They share with us amazing examples of gutsy leaders that empower their employees to take risks and have fun while making their companies hugely successful. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and plan to revisit my thinking when it comes to business as usual with my team at the Hotel del Coronado...thank you GUTS!

Review: Kevin and Jackie Freiberg have done it again. First NUTS and now GUTS. If you are a business leader or consultant who is responsible for helping organizations to improve their culture, GUTS is a must read. What I love best about GUTS is the Freibergs five years of research proves that you can build an incredibly successful business by treating employees and customers right, having fun, and still make a ton of money. Managers are a dime a dozen. Great heroic leaders are few and far between. GUTS gives you the insight and perscription into what great unconventional leadership looks like. If you have the guts to make a difference in your organization, this is a great book.

Summary: The pulse of success
Review: Kevin and Jackie Freiberg have done it again. In "Nuts!" they told the story of the growth of a fledgling airline that has grown to lead the industry today. In their new book "Guts!" they have once again placed their fingers on the pulse of business success and share with us stories of triumph. What is apparent after reading this book is that to create a successful business you must create a customer base that sings your companies praises loud and strong to anyone who will listen. But, to do that effectively you must first create a working environment that causes your employees to sing your companies praises louder and stronger! This is exactly what the business leaders in "Guts!" have done. Kevin and Jackie not only tell the story of business leaders that have vision, they tell the stories of business leaders capable of turning their vision into action. Being a visionary is not all there is to being a leader. Being a leader that can transfer that vision into action is what Champions are made of. "Guts!" gives us dynamic examples of Champions who care enough to give the whole 9 yards. This book is a "Must Read" for anyone responsible for the well being of people.

Review: Kevin and Jackie Freiberg have the initiative, credibility, and keen insight to truly capture the shared qualities of "Gutsy Leaders". In writing this terrific book, they've once again demonstrated their natural understanding of leadership and have given America a tutorial in how any business OUGHT to be. The leaders they've profiled in "GUTS!" acted on their personal convictions and values, and this book of business wisdom shows how these same values have subsequently shaped their companies. As successful companies, the businesses illustrated in "GUTS!" stand as benchmarks in their respective industries. It's so refreshing to be reminded how simple success can be in any organization. With the right mix of inspirational leadership, a culture of caring, and employee latitude to handle any situation that arises, any company can join the list of successful entities the Freiberg's profile. However, leaders like those mentioned in their book seem to be as rare in business today as diamonds, (especially in HR and CEO's!) Because they also practice leadership by example as business owners, Dr's Kevin and Jackie Freiberg have given us an easy to read, credible, and invaluable example of what works in any organization, family, or environment. Although it's common sense, the book should be mandatory reading for every business leader to reinforce or awaken their "business awareness". Treat associates, employees, and customers as VIP's, and they'll multiply your ROI many times over. I love their philosophy, and this new book reflects their insight and understanding of people as well as of business leadership. The "Gut Check" questions and examples provide a simple and practical reference for any company/leader to use. Buy the book; highlight the paragraphs that reflect your company; and pass it directly to both your manager & CEO to read. Then, do whatever you need to do to make your company as positive as those referenced in "GUTS!" If it doesn't improve, there are 15 companies illustrated in the book who want to let you apply your skills where they are appreciated, encouraged, and rewarded. Have the guts to make the switch, and be another one of these "Gutsy Leaders who blow the doors off business as usual". Summary: Talk About the "real world" ?
Review: Kevin and Jackie have done it again! This book is full of real life examples of what happens in the real life business world. Kevin and Jackie have taken "Nuts" to a higher level proving that you can actually live your values, be successful and make money AND have fun doing it. In view of the Enron's,WorldCom's and Tyco's of the business environment, this is a refreshing outlook. As a professor of Leadership, I very definately will use this book to place in the minds of our future leaders that I teach that it is possible to ethically manage your company, follow the rules and have a whole lot of fun doing it. This is very definately a personal library keeper.

Summary: Another game winning hit from the Freiberg's
Review: Kevin and Jackie have once again created a wonderful book that is enjoyable to read and very practical and very real. I had used them as consultants for a very large Japanese US operation with great success. They guided significant cultural change in what I would consider to be a very challenging environmnet. Literally every page delivers specific examples that are all workable and do deliver tangible results. I have seen those results first hand. First Nuts, now Guts! Two great books. Great reads and truly impactful studies on how to have a wonderful and successful business. This is a book to be read and then kept near at hand at all times for a quick and helpful reference and guide. I am positive you will enjoy the book, the stories, the examples, the lessons.

Summary: jackie and kevin have done it again!
Review: once again, the masters of condensing massive amounts of corporate culture, management styles and company performance have taken a similar though refreshing approach to creating a their new step by step management and leadership tutorial. how this book will provide you new business concepts and ideas through the success and experiences of others is very rewarding. i can't wait to get to invite them to one of my upcoming company meetings!

Summary: Pow! A Must-Have For Your Business Library!!
Review: Sam Brannan, author of Look To The Rock Kevin and Jackie have done it again! Guts! is even better than Nuts!, which is hard to believe if you read their first remarkable book! The difference between the Freiberg's approach to writing about business management and so many other writers' (ncluding myself), is their excellent ability to capture the pure essence of the most successful leaders of our times. Their crisp, simple approach to business-as-not-so-usual is exactly what we in corporate America need to embrace. Look forward to Freiberg's Book III!
