Summary: Well-written, well-thought, and well worth the investment
Review: I ordered about 15 of the top books on marketing and selling financial services to assist me in creating my business plan for my own financial planning practice. Steve's book stood out from the rest. It is filled with practical advice that one can easily adapt and follow in a step-by-step process flow, which is exactly what I did. In a world in which traditional marketing techniques like direct mail and cold calling have very low yields, his research interview approach to networking has been fabulously successful for me. It is non-threatening and generates a bounty of information while tightening the client-planner bond. Perhaps the most important to me was the chapter on defining an ideal client profile. I was able to adapt a few of those almost without change in an effort to create a narrow and deep focus. All in all, a tremendously valuable, excessively dog-eared guide that is the perfect mix of the theoretical and the practical. Real meat in this book! I can't wait to buy his next book.

Summary: Excellent book!
Review: If you are interested in developing a fee-based financial planning practice and want to get away from traditional mass-marketing approaches, this book is for you. Steve Moeller presents a step-by-step approach on how you can develop this type of practice. The key is to develop a more client-centered approach to doing business whereby you attract the types of clients you want rather than "advertising" for them. Steve shows you how to do this. Steve's emphasis on building a better quality life for clients and advisors by focusing on what is really important in our lives struck a chord with me. Highly recommended!

Summary: Whatever your profession, you should read this book!
Review: Moeller makes a persuasive case for a client-centered marketing approach. Seemlessly weaving the theoretical with the practical, he provides concrete examples of how to cultivate the relationships necessary for a thriving, client-centered business. Although written for financial advisors, this book's principles apply to any profession in which success demands a strong client relationship. I am an attorney (and not a financial advisor). Nevertheless, client-centered marketing is crucial to my practice. I recommend this book to all professionals.

Summary: Business Booster
Review: My husband is an investment advisor. I can tell the difference amongst his investment advisor colleagues who have read Effortless Marketing from those who have not. All who have, now enjoy a fruitful business with clients they love to work with.

Summary: New Way To Gather Assets
Review: Nice book that explains the difference from being a hunter/gatherer and a farmer. Hunters are the dinosaur wheelin dealin stockbrokers from the 80's and early 90's that signed up every account they could muster without much thought of tomorrow. Farmers take their time and cultivate a rich harvest of prospects that will sustain them for many decades.

This book helps you become a farmer. Good Luck!
