Summary: Very exciting.
Review: A very exciting book to read. Be prepared to restructure your entire business model after reading it. It will cause you to focus in and gain a lot of clarity on the type of financial advisor you with to be and the type of clients you wish to work with. It isn't just a conceptual book. It includes good details on how to implement the ideas.

Summary: Effortless Marketing - Worth the effort
Review: As someone who has been running direct mail and telemarketed public seminars for nearly six years, "Effortless" was a real eye opener for me. I have found most of Steve's observations to be true about the tough road and dwindling results of the public seminar route. To actually impliment an effortless marketing plan does require effort, particularly in getting through the processes of establishing personal and business vision and plan. I'm just at the point of beginning to conduct "A" client interviews, but I am convinced, as a have reviewed other systems that contain some of Steve's concepts, that the results will be practice-changing. I have already had the thrill of discarding "C" and "D" prospects in the first interview, realizing they would be high maintenance, low reward clients. For me the bottom line is the low cost of putting the plan into practice, without having to continue the high marketing costs of seminar marketing or prospecting systems. Steve Moeller has captured what it takes to radically change a practice and move it into the next century (sic)

I personally know several advisors that are having more fun in their business and life than they could have ever imagined. Their clients are ecstatic with the service they receive and credit their advisors with help them enjoying their money more and pursue their dreams. The process can be addicting. We don't want too many happy advisors running around out there. It could ruin the public's image of financial advisors and undo the tradition of "sell product, sell product, sell product" that has been a hallmark of the financial industry.

Summary: This book changed my life and our business model
Review: Effort-Less Marketing walks you through 5 steps to a super profitable business and a wonderful life. This book has changed my life in many ways. I really did not have a vision of where our company was headed until I read Steve's book. Everyday I now work on the vision of my future life along with our companys. There are many great tools in this book to help anyone that is just getting started in the industry or someone who has been in the business for years. The tools help organize you so that implementation is very easy.

Summary: Make more, have more fun, work & worry less
Review: For 10 years in this business I heard about the power of focusing in on a niche. But I always resisted, thinking about the clients I might miss who weren't part of the niche. Effort-Less Marketing not only convinced me to develop a niche market, it gave me a system for doing it.

Using ideas from the book, over the past year my niche has got narrower and my productivity has increased. Not only that, I have lot more fun.

Review: I am a student of marketing, and here to now thought myself expert at marketing and sales as re financial services. The bad news is that I am working at only a fraction of my potential. The good news is that through this work my eyes are opened to possibilities un-dreamed of.

This ephiphany of a book Steve has penned will change my life, my family's life, my customer's lives in such a profound way that I will never fully be able to say "Thank You Steve Moeller!" strongly enough.

Summary: Must have for Financial Practitioners
Review: I brought this book to a financial planning conference that I attended last year, intending to read it during "down time." I never got the opportunity, since my colleagues were borrowing it right and left. They thought that it was the most valuaable marketing book ever written for the financial professional. Since then I have had the time to read it more thoroughly, and, after using some of his strategies, I quite agree. There are hundreds of current practice books for the financial planner but this is the rare book that fills a marketing void. It is practical and well written. Worth the time as well as the cost if you are responsible for your own rainmaking.
