Rating: Summary: A very helpful review tool Review: Failing my first NCLEX attempt at 264 questions (one short of the max -I scored A and B averages in school), results said "near passing" on all categories. I was pretty upset. I had used books (including Kaplan passing strategies) that friends gave or lent to me, for my first attempt. For the second, I purchased this (Saunders) book, and immediately wished I'd had it when I was in classes. Unlike the other books -which tended to be concept reviews and suggestion-based strategies, this book is essentially an RN program review. The disk-based test and review program it comes with is similar to that of others, but allows you to pick up where you left off, if you don't finish your review when you shut down the computer -this was unique among my other programs. I've been recommending this book to other test candidates and students. After reading this book, I passed my NCLEX with the minimum questions required (75)-this was after the pass-level was raised in April 2004! I cannot say enough about this book. If you get no other, get this one.

Rating: Summary: All that and more! Review: I bought this book at the beginning of my last semester in nursing school---I wish I had purchased it in the first semester! It served as an invaluable resource when studying for unit exams. It increased my knowledge, provided useful tables and was organized in an easy-to-follow outline format. The questions posted at the end of each section allowed me to concentrate on specific topics. I would recommend this book to ALL nursing students!
Rating: Summary: Head of the Class Review: I bought this book the second week of my first semester as a nursing student and have been using it religiously as a study guide for tests, information and quiz preparation. I am now in my second semester and I carry it with the rest of my textbooks to class and work. Each section of the text is devoted to a different system/disorder and the rationales, and tables of lab values are great. The CD contains questions with rationales for correct and incorrect answers and they seem to repeat themselves, when you have given an incorrect answer ten questions back, as a type of review. With this book and CD in my grubby little hand I am confident I will pass the NCLEX with flying colors.
Rating: Summary: Overwhelming! Review: I bought this book with all intentions of reading it every other night. It is so comprehensive and overloads you with so many facts, that I ended up getting frustrated. I think I've read it, like 4 times. The book is so huge that it's a pain to carry around. The disk is O.K, though. This book is alright if you have tons of time-and have the memory capacity to remember every detail, but if you can't get overloaded with a ton of facts, I would not recommend it. I just bought Kaplan's and love it.
Rating: Summary: Wow! Review: I chose this book because it was the only one I found with a money back guarantee. I spent about three weeks following the book and I passed on the first try (the computer cut off at 75 questions). The rationals are great and the material is easy to follow. I wish I had this book throughout nursing school and not just for the boards. It also is a great reference book to use throughout your nursing career.
Rating: Summary: Excellent book. Well worth the money. Review: I got this book during my first semester of nursing school and it has been invaluable in helping me to pass my classes and master the material. There is a ton of information in this text, so don't expect to just sit down and read it in a couple of days. I think that the majority of people would benefit most from this book by using it as they progress through school rather than trying to review it before taking the NCLEX. The CD is great and has tons of questions.
Rating: Summary: GREAT STUDY BOOK Review: I highly reccomend this book. I used it to study for my boards and passed them easily! The CD is great and has TONS of questions! You can take questons by body system or take a mixture of questions! The questions were set up just like the real NCLEX exam questions This is all you need to study and pass!I also used it to study for my exams in nursing school and it helped a ton.
Rating: Summary: money well spent Review: I highly recommend this book. The content is clear and concise. The font is easy and pleasant on the eyes. The CD-rom is easy to download and I did not encounter any problems with it. The questions, 3500+ on the CD, test all body systems. The book is helpful in that it provides test-taking strategies to aid you in taking the NCLEX. I have read other sources for NCLEX, this one is far the best. I am preparing to write the NCLEX in May...Wish me a PASS and succes to you ALL...definitely worth the money!
Rating: Summary: PASS YOUR CLASSES AND THE NCLEX-RN Review: I purchase this book my first semester of school and it did not disappoint me. I hardly open any of my textbooks and after two semesters didn't even buy the required textbooks. Everything that you need to know to get you through nursing school is in this complete comprehensive book. I LOVE this book. Passed my boards first try at 75 questions. Used it to review and will keep it as a reference. Get this book you will not be disappointed you will be thankful.*****
