Summary: a clear, complete and comprehensive easy to read textbook.
Review: This is a easy to read textbook of anesthesiology that is very complete and yet comprehensive. I used it for my first 2 years as a resident and for my first exams. It was fun reading it because in a few words the authors are able to explane even difficult matter in a clear way. I recommend it to everyone that starts as a resident or for medicalstudents who are really interested in anesthesia.

Review: This is an extraordinary book to prepare the board. Simple,concise, to the point. I upgraded from the second edition and it was really worth the upgrade. New chapters and new presentation with key concepts and case discussion worth reading. All time companion book !!

Summary: Not as Useful as Others
Review: We were required to buy this book, but since the first day of class, instructors keep saying it is "not comprehensive enough," and "doesn't go into the necessary depth." Basically, this book is good for a quick and dirty summary, but it is definitely not a replacement for Miller, Barash, etc. Save your money!
