Summary: Farley..Master of Great Confusion
Review: I bought this book last week based on some reviews i read, apparently i guessed i was fully mislead, i have been in the stock market for a while now and have read so many books, but by far, this is the worst and most confusing piece i ever read, the book contained a lot of jargons that might impress the novice without really bringing meaning to the lessons, there were too many repetitions, the charts were confusing and i see know reason why the book had over 400 pages. i do not recommend this book in any form, not for the beginner or experienced investor, its is a waste of money and valuable time and i do commend "Jerry P" for being honest and objective with his review of this book.

Summary: Absolutely the Best Release on the Subject
Review: I started in the markets 6 years ago and now trade full time. I have read most of the books out there on trading. While I usually walk away from a book with a few lines of wisdom, Master Swing Trader left me with much more. It should be considered the reference book on swing trading. Any trader with a decent background in the markets will learn from this book. A beginner might consider it, but be warned: this is advanced material.

I see many good reviews by people who appreciate this excellent book. I truly believe anyone who rates it poorly has other motives. This book covers everything, including detailed techniques, crowd psychology and how to avoid stupid mistakes. The material is accurate in every detail. This book stands alone in its class. All traders should review this broad piece and learn its tactics no matter what time frame they work in.

Summary: Excellent and Informative...
Review: This book is a work of art and an informative read. It accomplishes what other books about trading try to do but fail: provide behind the scenes information about trading stocks and how you can take advantage of common price patterns. It also shows how individual traders can trade like members of the institutional firms. Ever wonder how they make money in the stock market? Read this book and learn to trade for a living. It is a step-by-step guide to beating the market.

Summary: Master Confusion
Review: I did not find this book valuable. Read all the reviews carefully. This book is confusion wraped up in a shiney cover. I'm very disapointed. You will need prozac after reading this one.

Summary: A Breakthrough Piece of Work
Review: Farley has done an excellent job. I disagree with him on a few points but still think his book deserves 5 stars or more. This might be the best book on trading published in the last few years. A lot of trading books are pure garbage but not this one. You will learn more on the subject matter that all of the nonsense masquerading as educational material. This is not a simple recipe book on trading if that is what you are looking for. It deals with a comprehensive market view before it drills in on specific applications.

Summary: Learn to trade like a pro...
Review: Buy this book if you want to trade with the smart money instead of the dumb money. The other reviews are very accurate. The book is deep, complicated and jammed with unique trading strategies, wisdom and concepts. It also takes quite a bit of commitment from the reader. But I believe it is well worth your time and energy. It is the type of book you will come back to many times a year (for many years to come), because much of this material cannot be found anywhere else.

This is also one of the few books which teaches TA for both swing trading and day trading. I highly recommend it to all traders who have already gotten the basics and are ready for the next step.

Summary: Authoritative and Enlightening!
Review: This book contains so many gems that I don't know where to begin. It has deeply affected my view of the markets. Farley is an authoritative and convincing writer, not the arrogant one alleged in a few reviews. Far from it. There is a humbling quality in his writing that suggests quite a bit of personal experience and insight. I found myself learning something in almost every paragraph. This is clearly the best new trading book on the shelves.

Summary: If only, there is greater clarity, and less arrogance....
Review: This book could have been much better. The positives are that it gives some useful insights into some aspects of tradings. Most of it however can be found written with far greater clarity in other books, such as those by Nisson, Murphy etc. The style of writing is unfortunate. The verbosity almost suggests that this book has never been through the editorial process. The author loves name dropping. Some of his opinions are quite plainly arrogant eg. the following statement ' Those experts who still use the Dow Transportation and Utility Averages to predict broad intermediate trends don't deserve our attention'. I guess that's along the same philosophy as interest rates don't matter, or it's different this time. The whole book is littered with such biases.I agree with a previous comment that this book is better suited for the intermediate technician/trader, not least just in order to discern what may or may not be useful information in this book.

Summary: A very disciplined approach
Review: Mr. Farley has written a very comprehensive book, full of technical knowledge that he's very well translated into understandable trading strategies. Unlike some other writers in this field, his concepts are consistant with little ambiguity and no hidden ego. He tries to make the reader understand the science of charting from the inside out. He stresses discipline and detachment, and letting the numbers be your guide. This leads to a style that will get you out of a bad trade more quickly and let you safely find exit points for your winners. If you use his ideas with discipline, you'll buy and sell at the right time, and know when to get out - you'll make money and avoid very bad situations.

Summary: Very Influential Book and Trading Approach
Review: The author does a fantastic job describing the key elements of a swing trader's success. He begins with the most crucial aspect, a detailed explanation of how and why stocks move from one price level to another. This revelation alone is worth the price of the text. This is by far the best book I have read to date on how traders should approach the markets & the crowds that comprise them. It also serves as a great primer on technical analysis with detailed explanations on how patterns can be used to gain profits.

The multi time dimensional approach of the author is a superb place for the every trader to advance their knowledge. I would recommend the purchase of this book to any serious person who has decided to trade the stock market.

I would like to thank the author for sharing what I consider to be highly valuable information on this subject.
