Summary: The BEST BOOK I've read in years!
Review: The beauty of this book is that it is thin, has a large typestyle and lots of white around the text. And yet every page contains high value lessens wrapped in true-to-life story. Buy it and read it: you'll never look at squirrels, beavers and geese the same again. And you will never look at increasing your own circle of influence the same again. Actualy this book should have six stars..!

Summary: Finally there is a road map for taking over a business.
Review: After I read this book, I bought a copy for my boss and my Leadership Team. We are taking this book a few pages at a time and applying the principles to our business. We'll be Gung Ho in no time! The lessons are numerous and the philosophy is priceless. Gung Ho, friend.

Summary: What an enjoyable read!
Review: I loved this book. I read it from cover to cover in 2 hours. The power of this book is that such important life and business lessons can be taught in such a simple and entertaining story. Everybody should read this book.

Summary: Mandatory reading for all supervisors and managers.
Review: Blanchard, et. al. have done it again: delivered an important lesson in an easy to digest style. This book is as entertaining as it is instructive. It is notable that a book that can be read in a lunch hour can be filled with a careers worth of instruction and inspiration. I am an unabashed Blanchard fan and this book helps me justify my enthusiasm for his work. Read it and thank me when you are done.

Summary: This book is THE organizational cornerstone of the 90's
Review: Today I am ordering copies for all of my managers at my new job. We will make this book the foundation for our success. Gung Ho!

Summary: To Teachers - Read it and Motivate your kids!
Review: I found today's schools teaching kids "I am special.", classrooms encouraging "peer rivalry" by exam's. Why not motivate students to "Gung Ho"? Remember "An Officer and a Gentleman" movie? The scene Richard Gere went back to cheer his teammate to the finish line? Every class has one or two "big shots" who are the darling of the teacher. No wander the morale at school is low. By the way, "Gung Ho" in Chinese means "Do-Live(Live=Job)" in word-to-word translation. It can be translated into doing one's job seriously or eager to get back to work. It also means "Live-Do". Boss gave you a work, you do whatever you want as long as you get the job done in time. It is not "working together" as Andy suggested. How do I know? Well, I am a native Chinese. I am fond of the metaphor of Big-pie and Small-pie people. Small-pie people have no vision, no sense of historical duty and no self-esteem. Just look at the face of those committee members sitting to the left of Congressman Hyde on today's Kent Starr hearing, you can tell.

Summary: The world is full of managers. Learn to be a leader!
Review: I read Gung Ho from cover to cover in a short sitting. Then started over. The book is refreshingly simple. It focuses on leadership principles we can all learn - and need in all aspects of our lives. I doubt you'll find a more succinct description of leadership than in this book. Think I might just read it again tonight, if I can get it away from my wife.

Summary: Gung Ho! is fantastic!
Review: I ordered this book and it is the best business book I've ever read --- and I'm an avid reader of business books with an MBA. The authors have packed more common sense and genius ideas into a hundred or so pages than others can in 500 pages. I'm putting the Spirit Of The Squirrel, The Way Of The Beaver and The Gift Of The Goose to work in my own life and what a difference, at work AND at home! If you don't know what I'm talking about with these animals you need to find out. Thankyou Amazon for tipping me off to this book with these reviews.

Summary: Once again, the simple thing are shown to be King!
Review: We sometimes find that the simple thing are overlooked. Books like this one remind us that you don't always need new and modern ways.
