Summary: Concise, comprehensive, well-written book
Review: Flipping Properties concisely, yet comprehensively covers the creative real estate business. It is right to the point, covering all aspects of the business in a small amount of space, even providing the agreements and sample marketing materials needed to conduct business. Simultaneously, it's a great starting point for an aspiring real estate investor to get complete coverage of the business and a great source for experienced real estate investors to use as a reference. Worth many times the cost of the book if you put the information to use. I highly recommend it.

Summary: Great foundational real estate investment book
Review: Bill and Robert treat a vast amount of crucial investment information in a simple a straight forward manner.

I am in the business described in the book and feel that the information is accessible, thorough, and accurate.

It is a must have for someone interested in getting involved in real estate investment.

Best regards,

Summary: Great book for beginning and advanced investors
Review: Very informative for all levels of investors. Good level of detail - actually gets into the mechanics of the deals, not just high-level. Legal and Tax implications are covered in much more detail than other real estate books. Highly recommended.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Well-written, solid, practical information
Review: I have read several real estate books in the past few months and this one is clearly the most useful. There is no "fluff" in this book, just solid, practical information. The main point the authors make is that real estate should be run like a business, which requires FIRST generating cash flow. I think of lot of people who rush out and buy rental properties should read this book first!

This is the first book that really explains the legal aspects of real estate transactions (probably because of the authors is an attorney). I also loved the chapter on negotiating!

I would recommend this book for anyone who is starting out in real estate and wants a fresh, practical look at generating cash flow.

Summary: Sound, Practical Advice
Review: Whether the book will enable one to generate "instant" cash profits may be slightly over-dramatized; however, the advice given is sound, practical advice. That aspect, in itself, makes the book a wise investment. I know several investors who are making a clear fortune from "flipping properties" and while the sample legal forms and contracts may vary from the US and Canada, the essential elements of real estate transactions are very basic.

I did feel some topics could have been covered in greater depth and for that reason the book lost a star in the rating. However, if you are a novice investor in the world of real estate, this helpful book is a great place to start.

Summary: Best book I have read to date on this subject. Wow.
Review: Thorough, easy to follow and extremely informative.

Includes great sample forms.

I particularly liked the chapter on negotiations.

Summary: Easy Appraoch to Real Estate Investing
Review: I read a lot of books about real estate and this book has a very easy approach when it comes to the beginning investor. This book shows how to take the first steps into buying real estate and where to go from there even if you have no credit or money. If you are interested in fix up property, this book gives details of how to estimate costs and save money in the rehab work. I would recommend this book to the beginning investor but this book can serve as a good reminder to the experianced investor.

Summary: No meat!!!
Review: I tried to read this book, tried, then I made myself read it. But soon enough I had to quit. It has nothing to offer as far as "Hey, this is a good technique." or "Hey, try this." Not even a story to examplify. It's more like: "Yeah, you need financing and a cheap house that you can fix, and there's a bunch of ways to do that. The End."

I could never get halfway through it. It's still brand new. Maybe there's something good in it somewhere in there. But I have no time to look for a golden needle in a stack of hay.
There's way too many other books out there that can be more profitable.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good general info
Review: I actually bought this book at a local Realtor store. Overall, a good book for those who know a little about real estate and want to learn more about how to flip properties. The authors give a pretty good glossary of terms to help you understand what they're writing, and I can see they try to make things seem as straight forward as possible. Drawback -- the book did leave out some key facts, like tax implications of flipping, but it's something you should be thinking about anyway, if you're serious about becoming a successful real estate investor.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Weak
Review: Just a gloss over. Offers some weak advice. Look for the worst house in the best neighborhood - ????? Everybody and their dog does that, and how many ratty houses are there in good neighborhoods? For a book like this to be worth anything it needs to offer advice you cant get elsewhere. Try "Fast Cash" by LeGrand for better.
