Rating: Summary: This is truely *THE* Book on Pharmacology Review: If you are at all interested in the world of Pharmacology, or require a good grounding in it for your profession, you cannot go past G&G. Whereas it certainly may be somewhat overwhelming in the depth of information, it is always enlightening/informative and after many years out of the field I still find myself going back to it as a reference.
Rating: Summary: Well edited book Review: It has a huge mistake on muscarine receptors. M3 receptor works like M1 and not as written like M2
Rating: Summary: a must for pharmaceuticals industry marketing Review: pharmaceuticals marketing and training refers to book as if it is a holy and essential like geeta bible or quaran etc.without this pharma marketing is incomplete
Rating: Summary: When comes a new edition? Review: The book is truly outstanding, but considering the pace medice and pharmacology moves on we need a new edition
Rating: Summary: The best pharmacology book you can own...and a good doorstop Review: The most comprehensive pharmacology book to have as a healthcare professional or student
Rating: Summary: new edition coming soon! Review: The new edition of Goodman & Gilman's Pharmacological Basis of Therapeutics is in the works, and should be ready by late August, 2001.
Rating: Summary: Aines Review: This a complete review about the AINEs,based in MBE and include the new drogs (inhibition selective COX-2),thas a good ,I really enjoy that
Rating: Summary: Just a good book.. Review: This book is a good one, but has one little problem, the book doesn't have much coherence because there are too many people writting the book. You can note the difference of redaction between the chapters because were written for different person and that's what make the book very difficult to read, because one chapters are good, but others are very bad.
I prefer a book written by a few person because are much clear.
Rating: Summary: great for the right audience Review: This book is great for the right audience, and for the right job. This book is not for the following people/jobs: 1. Medical students. If you are a medic, and you need a text for your pharmacology class, try the simpler and less detailed books like Katzung's. The level of detail in G&G may be overwhelming. 2. As an intern/resident, you really don't have the time for such details either. A pocket guide comes in handy for your day-to-day work. This book is excellent for research purposes, especially for presentation at a conference, for pharmacists and pharmacologists, and for others directly involved in drug dispensing or manufacture.
Rating: Summary: complete Pharmacology Review: this book is the best ever written about pharmacology in whole history of the world (that's what doctors say)
