Rating: Summary: This Book Will Change Your Life Review: I spent 15 years in the corporate world trying to become successful--but each promotion only brought more frustration. When I started studying success on my own, I realized that working for someone else was never going to help me achieve financial freedom, and no amount of college education was going to make me successful. "Conversations with Millionaires" teaches you the essential principles you never learned in school. This book will change your life. Mike has captured the wisdom of the leaders in the success world in a way that will help you start on the road to financial success, peace, and personal happiness. In the book, Mike interviews several millionaires who share their success secrets, challenges, and what they learned in the process of becoming wealthy and successful. It is a wholistic approach to success, which not only teaches you how, but also motivates you and gives you the confidence to take action.
Rating: Summary: Infomericial in print! Review: Lately I have been reading alot of positive thinking and success type books. Many of the authors I have been reading were featured in this book, and had heard it was extremely popular. I was really let down. Have you ever watched those cheesy infomercials that come on t.v. late at night or during the weekend? This is what the book reminded me of, an infomercial in printed form. It offers big promises but very little content. Many of the "millionaires" have become wealthy and successful but the "tips" in this book will not help you achieve it for yourself. The author Mike Litman who owns his own "success talk show" interviews his guest in the book which makes for a simple and unchallenging read. He asks his guests very generic questions. Also, his introduction at the beginning of each chapter sounds like a disc jockey on crack, very annoying. For some excellent books on success, motivation, finaces, etc. Check out Seven Strategies for Wealth and Happiness by Jim Rohn or Goals!, Maximum Achievement, or Focal Point by Brian Tracy.

Rating: Summary: Great Advice, Excellent Insight Review: This book is excellent! It's liking having a roundtable discussion with some of the best minds in America. I learned so much from this book. The easy-to-read format relays excellent information without a lot of fluff or puffery. If you want to get inside the minds of millionaires, this is the most inexpensive way to do it. Mike has an excellent interview style - he really gets to the heart of the matter. If you want to change your life, this is a must-read!
Rating: Summary: Why this book is so powerful... Review: When I finished reading "Conversations With Millionaires," it dawned on me that I had just picked the brains of some of the best mentors you could ever have if you want to reach your dreams. I was lucky enough to learn at an early age that the best kind of learning comes from mentors who can shorten your learning curve and help you walk in their footsteps. So many books on personal achievement and success are written from just the author's point of view, but Mike Litman brings a diverse team of superstars and brings their thinking and beliefs out for you to see and absorb. If you can imagine what it would take for you to try to track down and speak with these wonderful people yourself, and the expense in time and energy it would take -- you have to look at the price for this book and smile. What an absolute steal! I can fully understand what all the buzz is about with this book. It's success is due to the genuine service Mike has done everyone who would love to have direct access to these Millionaires -- now all they need to do is read this book! If you have a dream, and you're ready to make a change, read this book. It has critical information from people who have reached a pinacle of human achievement in their respective fields.
Rating: Summary: Definitely a cornerstone towards the achievement of success Review: If you're interested in learning about what millionaires around the world have done to get rich, this is definitely something you should look into. In the grand scheme of things, the book really isn't massive in size, but when applied, the information presented in it is like gold. Mike Litman, a native long islander like myself has interviewed various millionaires over the last couple years. He's now sharing with people the transcripts of these interviews. Litman is a no-nonsense kinda guy. He definitely is a heavy hitter when it comes to the ideas presented. The people he interviews are the kind of people who make you really think about your life in a whole new way. I personally found myself making some asking some very important questions how I was living life. I read about others stories; people who were not as well off as myself when they started (at least in terms of tangible assets and a support structure) who got together a mastermind group or starting becoming super resourceful and ended up hitting it big. Mike Litman and Jason Oman are relative newcomes in the world of business techniques that can help you achieve greatness. The information they are presenting is both cutting edge and timeless. They are fresh thinking, motivated individuals. Reading about their stories and their interviews is an inspiration in itself. I'd advise anyone who wants a new viewpoint on things to at least read what this guy is saying. If you don't like the book, sell it, donate it to your library or give it to someone who can truly utilize the gem of information it has within.
Rating: Summary: A Mind Opening Experience Review: When I purchased "Conversations With Millionaires", I was not sure what I was in for, but I knew that coming from Mike and Jason it had to rock. When the book arrived and I broke into the first page I was captivated and was unable to put it down. Mike's energy literally jumped off the pages and the way he is able to get these "Millionaires" to open up is something just short of incredible. The straight forward ideas and techniques I got from this book has my brain on overload. My idea factory is running wide open, thanks to this great book. Mike not only interviews these "Millionaires", he becomes the interview, getting inside their heads and pulling out truly life changing ideas. If you're interested in improving your life, and who isn't, get this book and learn from the people that have "been there and done that" Truly a mind opening experience.
Rating: Summary: Sloppy. Review: In the beginning of the book, one of the guests stressed that the command of the English language is crucial to success. I have NEVER seen this many spelling mistakes in a book and it is a disgrace for the publisher to publish such a sloppily written piece. Mike Litman seems to be talking more than his guests in some of the interviews and his presumptuous attitude is quite annoying. The book is hastily compiled and repeats the same information in different interviews. If you truly want financial independence, read: The Millionaire in You, by Michael LeBoeuf. It has opened my eyes.
Rating: Summary: Great Idea, but.....left me hungry for more Review: This kind of book is an excellent idea! HOWEVER, there isn't much substance to this book. I have been interested in studying people who have been very successful since 1983. Pick out a sucess book or a biography about a successful person who has lived in the past 150 years and I probably have read it. I LOVE to read about successful people and how they did it, what personality traits each had in common, etc. But this book just wets my beak! I need and want to know more, but Littman just cuts it off. He should say less and let the people he interviews say more. Once again, great idea, Mike, but we need more to really get our teeth into it!!! Try it again, Mike, but give us more meat!
