Review: Not much effort in writing this book! The writer, Mike Littman, simply transcribed conversations he has had with other self-help millionaires on his radio shows. Nine millionaires are interviewed: Jim Rohn, Mark Victor Hanson, Wally Amos, Jack Canfield, Robert Allen, Sharon Lechter, Michael Gerber, Jim McCann, and Jay Conrad Levinson. Most are promoting their own self-help books and products. For example:

"I did a course called, Guerrilla Marketing for the New Millennium and its available from the same place you talked about before, Aesop.com. Thats the first placed I'd go. I say that because I wrote it for people who don't know anything about marketing but want to use marketing to grow a business. Or, they have a business and they want to make it bigger and cut down the amount of money that they are investing in marketing. All of the things that I'm saying, naturally, are in my books Guerilla Marketing.
The course that I gave called, Guerilla Marketing for the New Millennium, is up to the state of the moment. It's up to state of what marketing is doing right now."

In my opinion, the book was written with the sole purpose of making money both for the author and for the interviewees. Don't buy it! The same information can be found in greater detail in other books.

Summary: Buy for Content not Award winning writing....
Review: To put it effectively yet succinctly, I recommend this book more for the core content as opposed to the Nobel, Pulitzer, etc. manner of prose.

The worth of this book can be found in its ability to condense the major success strategies of a number of well known individuals all in one book. Not only does it give useful, practical and actionable information, it also gives interesting biographical details as well. I have come to believe that understanding the mental workings of successful people and their history--not just what others say about them--is a critical factor in duplicating success. As one sage aptly stated, "Experience is the most expensive teacher". In my analysis of successful people the world over, one thing is certain: they study the success of others and duplicate the strategies that work, augmenting them when necessary.

Bill Gates reputedly reads approx. 120 books a year on various subjects (as an example).

One of the most thought-provoking powerful ideas I got from this book is something that a mentor of Jim Rohn told him early in his career "become a millionaire (or billionaire) for what it makes of you to achieve it".

There is a very strong moral/spiritual theme running through this book as well. Essentially it demonstrates that it is possible to acquire wealth in a manner than doesn't make one suffer in other areas of one's life such as health, peace of mind, love/relationships or true expression (doing what you really love to do). This is perhaps the biggest plus of the books.

I bought and read a copy of this book for myself and purchased another for a friend as well in order to complete the circle of giving and receiving (which according to those profiled in the book is a, if not THE, major factor in overall success).

Lastly, I noticed that this book was self-published by the authors which says alot about their own business acumen. They cut out the middle man (a big publishing house) and the fact that they were able to promote this book and have it do so well is more evidence that this book is worth owning.

Summary: Inspiring Stories on Attaining Wealth
Review: This book consists of transcripts of 9 interviews from the Mike Litman radio show. I kept a highlighter handy as I read through the interviews and found excellent pearls of wisdom in each one. Although I am not complaining, I think readers should be forewarned that reading this book will make you want to explore other books and programs that are referenced in the interviews. I've already spent about $100 just following up on recommended reading from the interviewees. Mike Litman also has his own web site that has other great interviews available. If you want to get ahead in life, books like this are your ticket.

Summary: Get inside the minds of 9 well-known millionaires
Review: As you read through this book, you get to 'listen in' as Mike Litman interviews 9 of the most successful millionaires of our time from one of my personal mentors, Jim Rohn to the mega-best selling Chicken Soup authors, my friend Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen to Wally 'Famous' Amos to Jim McCann CEO of 1-800-Flowers.com fame.

Mike does an excellent job at getting into not only the minds, but the hearts of these folks where he gleans nuggets of gold you can begin applying in your own life right away.

Well worth the price of the book!

Summary: This book is worth every penny!
Review: Imagine sitting down next to nine highly successful individuals and listening to them talk about how they achieved success.
How much would you pay for something like that? How much would you pay to get a copy of the transcripts? Well my friend this book is exactly that--the transcripts of successful people telling you how they achieved success. And how you can also reach success and get similar results by using them as a role model.

My favorite interview was the one with Jack Canfield. Jack's humble and generous style really impressed me. He is my motivational role model.

Getting this book for only $15.95 is a joke! Why? Because Mike is a great interviewer, and he really gets these guys talking about HOW they achieved success. If you take only one idea from this book and really run with it, you WILL greatly improve your life! I found many, many great ideas in this book. I am sure you will too.

Mike has tremendous enthusiasm for achieving success. You can hear clips of him doing his motivational/success radio show on mikelitman.com. I highly recommend you go check them out. When I need a boost of motivation I listen to them, because hearing Mike is MOTIVATING!

Summary: A Book Which Inspires success!
Review: Mike's Dime. Their dance floor! What a creative and inspiring message each of the inspirational gurus brings to this book. Each millionaire interviewed gives their own unique tools for succeeding and building wealth. Conversation with Millionaires provides you with advise you'd ordinarily pay hundreds of dollars to hear in a seminar. The focus is not get-rich-quick, but provides advise which expedites the achievement of your goals.

Not only do I recommend this book, but I also purchased copies for my friends and mentorees.

Summary: Ho hum. Nothing to see here either.
Review: None of these so-called "conversations" yields anything stellar besides go into business, stay there, and believe in God. Over and over again...

If you're really interested in what millionaires are REALLY up to these days, go read anything written by Thomas Stanley (who has interviewed them for some twenty years now).

All this book provided me with is fireplace fodder.
