Rating: Summary: Never Changes. Review: Same presentations as all of her other books. If you have one, you have them all. This is how Suzie is getting rich, selling books. One is enough, so don't get more than one.
Rating: Summary: Open up those 401K statements...Grow up! Review: Suze doesn't pull her punches. In this books she lays it out straight and simple. So many people are afraid to admit they know nothing about M-O-N-E-Y. They think it is something other people have because they are smarter. I also went out and purchased the tapes to give it to someone I love. It bothers me that 51% of Americans will be broke by age 65. A good American, Suze hasn't given up and she has generated and compiled the course and tools needed to lift myself and others out ofthis haze of Money fears, by laying down the "Laws of Money". Suze can't help you if you don't help yourself. When you deside to do that pick up this book or tape and talk about it to others....Come out of the closet!
Rating: Summary: the prism of money Review: Suze Orman has in all her books brought so much to us, in big ways and in small ways. First thing of all is that she has taught us that money is something we must deal with (and must want to deal with). There is financial advice everywhere, it's true, but Suze cloaks it in the emotions that also surround money. Here she presents five laws, simple on the surface, but resonant underneath. You cannot read these laws without having them echo in your head--and, more important, in your financial behavior, after you have read them. Even if just one law hits a home run for you, well, you are one step closer to your money, and to dealing with your money. This is financial goodness, truth, wisdom, precision, care, and generosity. I have turned to Suze many times, she has helped me every time, and saved me more than once. Worst case scenario. Let's say that only one of these laws rings true for you. (Three rang totally true for me.) That one law can change the way you deal with your money, which will change your life. Think of a prism turning, with all those angles and surfaces. Suze etches money wisdom onto every angle and surface, and I think every reader will find his or her angle, his or her surface, and be richer as a result. Thank you, Suze, for bringing money to life for me!
Rating: Summary: Good advice, even if not original Review: Suze Orman has offered advice for years and most of it is sensible basic stuff. This time around she offers 5 basic principles (she calls them 'laws') about money. These laws are right on the money and apply to almost every reader. Adopting these laws will definitely lead the reader to a more satisfied financial life. The second part of the book (NOT written my Ms. Orman) is a guide enabling the reader to make these laws part of his own life. The very first law is to be truthful about money and to stop lying to yourself and others. For example, if you drive a more expensive car than you can afford, or if you dress in the latest expensive styles, even though they are beyond your means, or if you pile up credit card debt to buy items merely to impress others, then you are lying to both the outside world (pretending you can afford those items) and to yourself (telling yourself it is ok to live on borrowed money). Coming to terms with those lies, being truthful and living within your means is the road to avoiding financial misery. This lesson is not new, but Orman's presentation is. The message is powerful and presented well. Some might try to compare this writing to that of Kiyosaki, but that is unfair. Kiyosaki's writings are inspirational and uplifting, but short on real advice. Orman's latest book is not only insightful, but offers good advice and the guide is helpful in getting the reader to follow the advice.
Rating: Summary: Laws Of Money Review: Suze' lastest book was instrumental to me! I own my own business and help families become financially independent with a Financial Needs Analysis. This book spoke about integrity and being in alignment with "The Laws" which prompted me to take a hard look at myself and get MY Financial House in order. I believe clients know at a subliminal level whether you're following what you preach and now I AM. Thank you Suze.
Rating: Summary: Extremely Helpful and Readable Review: Suze's book is full of hard hitting honesty, not only in her personal tidbits, but in providing the advice you need to follow in order to your financial life in order. Her laws are simple, but deeply thought out and when you read the book and really realize what the laws mean, you can easily relate them and apply them to your life. I understand that Suze may appear to be a marketing machine, but as someone who has met her, I can attest that she is genuine and truly cares about helping people gain control of their finances and get out of debt. After all, the cover price of this book is much cheaper in the long run than paying for advice from a random financial advisor. Suze has proven herself, time and time again, to be a savvy, smart, helpful resource for people who are willing to take the time to read her books and apply the lessons within to their own lives. This book is by far her best one yet and I believe it will quickly become a classic resource for anyone needing a solid finance guide.

Her straight forward 'Tell it like it is" could not have come at a better time in our financial enviorment.
