Summary: Everything You Need to Know!
Review: I have been a thyroid suffer for over 10 years. Most of what Mary Shomon reveals in her book was hard learned over many years by her and by others. If only I could have had access to this kind of source, the frustration, the helpless feelings I suffered would have been greatly lessened! I wish this book would be required reading for all doctors who will come in contact with this illness. Only someone who has "walked the walk" that we walk everyday can truly understand the symptoms and the ramifications of this disease. If you do not suffer from this then you have no concept of how profoundly it affects every facet of your life and your family's life. Thank you Mary for writing this!

Summary: Living Well With Hypothyroidism
Review: I recommend this book to everyone who has thyroid disease. Every single endocrinologist in the world should read this book from start 'till finish and maybe they will finally begin to understand the nightmare that this disease causes.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best thyroid book ever!
Review: This book was an enormous help to me. I learned all about hypothyroidism and how to deal with it. I also learned all the medications and alternative treatments available. AND most important of all, I found the section on how to deal with doctors very empowering. Remember, the doctors we choose are working FOR US and if they can't treat us like human beings...FIRE THEM! Also the pharmacutical companies should consider Mary's ideas about making more effective thyroid medications like a patch.

Summary: Living Well with Hypothyroidism...
Review: This book contains a wealth of information. After reading only a couple of chapters, I have learned more about the disease than I have in the two years I've been under medical treatment. I especially appreciate the "do's and don'ts" that Ms. Shomon shares with her readers, as well as a listing of the symptoms of hypothyroidism. Definitely worthwhile reading!

Summary: A Wonderful Resource
Review: I had preordered "Living Well With Hypothyroidism" and when it arrived was thrilled to feel as though it were written just for me. It hits home on many fronts and already I've begun adapting pieces from it into my lifestyle. Realizing that I'll be living with my thyroid for "many" more years to come, its wonderful to have a "guide book" taking me through the process! I truly appreciate Mary Shomon's efforts and consider her an equal resource with my physician -between the two I am feeling very positive! Education and understanding are the keys to surviving this ordeal and Mary's book gives me both.

Summary: Finally! Concrete Information on Hypothyroidism
Review: After living with this condition for the last two years, I was happily surprised to hear that a book with a patient viewpoint was about to be published. This book outlines clearly and concretely plenty of information about the "subsidiary" symptoms that go along with the condition. It is a relief to know that it's not in my head. Thanks to Mary Shomon for pulling it all together.

Summary: Saving Yourself
Review: At last, someone has given others with this debilitating disease the information that they need to save themselves. The book is written simply and straightforward so you don't have to have a doctor's degree to understand it. Mary has given hope and inspiration to all who suffer with hypothyroidism. I for one am so very grateful. This book has literally changed my life!

Summary: #1 Thyroid book ever sold
Review: This the BEST book I have ever read on hypothyroid . And I have bought every book out there. Mary tells you the way it really is & how to help yourself even when your Doctor tells you "you should be fine, your tsh is in range" ha. Now I feel great knowing I am not alone in still feeling tired. This is the one & only thyroid book to buy. I rate this book 10 stars.Thank God for Mary.
