Summary: Every Woman Should Read This
Review: This book is amazing. It is packed with information that I wish I had known when I was a teenager. Not only is it great for sexually active women wishing to avoid pregnancy or conceive, it also has information that is helpful for every woman. I'm planning on giving this to my teenage sister so she will understand her body even though she's not sexually active. An excellent book.

Summary: A book every woman should read
Review: This book is wonderful. It is such a wealth of information. I wish the information in this book would have been a part of my sex ed. My cycles have been much easier to manage and predict since I started charting. I believe every woman has the right to know exactly how her body works.

Summary: Required reading for EVERY woman!
Review: I honestly thought that just being a woman ~ I knew all I needed to know to get pregnant. I am 35 now and ready to have a baby, so I stopped taking the pill and waited 2 cycles and thought all I had to do was plan our night of fun close to Ovulation "Day 14". Was I ever wrong!!

After trying unsuccessfully on my own for 5 months, I started to question my fertility. I purchased ovulation test strips and they wouldn't show a peak ovulation. I found others online who were trying to conceive and recommended this book. Once I received the book, I couldn't put it down! I was amazed at what little information I actually knew about my cycle ~ my own body and what it had been telling me all along. I just didn't understand it.

I learned not everyone ovulates on "Day 14", for me it is actually "Day 23". I assumed I wasn't ovulating and got frustrated at day 20-21 and would stop testing. I now know to look for signals to show when I'm ovulating and now test in the correct window.

By reading this book I now have a clear understanding of my cycle. At my age, I want to have a baby sooner than later, so I plan on taking a more aggressive approach to my fertilization. I talked with my doctor after 6 months, rather than 1 year. With the help of this book and charting, I was able to explain my cycle and show my doctor all my charts. I was able to provide all the information needed to show I have a short luteal phase. By providing this information to the doctor, we will be able to treat the ovulation problem that much quicker. My doctor commented that I was extremely organized and it really helped things along.

This book is very easy to read and understand. You will be able to clearly read your own body signals during your cycle, and have a better understanding of your fertilization ~ whether you want to become pregnant - or not.

I will share this book with other women and would recommend it for every woman!

Summary: Very Informative
Review: This book is very informative, not only for those trying to conceive or those using FAM, but for all women as it very clearly and thoughtfully provides information about fertility, fertility disorders, life stages in women, and fertile signs.

It dispells many myths about fertility (i.e. the 28 day cycle). All in all, this is an excellent book for women interested in how their bodies work.

Summary: #1 BOOK!!!
Review: Even after having had 3 kids, when I remarried, I thought having a baby would be just as easy. When it didn't happen and didn't happen, I purchased TCOYF. At 35 years old, I never KNEW the signs of fertility!!! I may sound stupid, but I know a lot of my friends didn't even know them either!!! GREAT BOOK For EVERYONE trying to conceive!

Summary: Absolutely changed my relationship to my body.
Review: I'm an educated woman and thought I knew all there was to know, but I kept smacking my head while reading this book. You know . . . like, "So THAT'S what that is!" I highly, highly recommend it to all women and to all men interested in women.

Summary: Things you should have learned in health class
Review: My husband and I have been trying for 2 years to have a baby without success. I would show signs of ovulation, but never seemed to get pregnant. I have been diagnosed with mild PCOS, and was told I would probably have to "get help" to get pregnant. Then I bought this book. I realized that I was ovulating, but we weren't timing things correctly. Even if there are still other problems keeping us from having a baby, the knowledge I gained from this book is such a relief--to know what is actually going on instead of just guessing "Did I actually ovulate? Was my luteal phase long enough?" is well worth the price of the book. Before you take Clomid, read the book and chart a few cycles. It is cheaper than boxes of ovulation tests or hormone treatments, and you might discover what you thought was true really wasn't, and you won't need any of that stuff after all. And for those who aren't trying, knowing how your body really works is nothing but beneficial.

Summary: Read it and Live it!
Review: Wonderful book! I would never have learned what I needed to know about my own body from school. FAM can really work for you as well as the pill, but you really have to read the book at least two or three times and really learn the rules (there's only a few). Only try to use this if you have discipline!

Summary: ALL WOMEN MUST READ
Review: This is a book that EVERY woman should definitely read! It describes every detail of the female fertile life. If you are trying to get pregnant this is really a MUST, it gives you the calm and confidence to take charge of your cycle and offers you the information you need to be able to discuss with your doctor the best procedures and options.
It helped me a lot in getting rid of tensions and involving my husband in the process.
I REALY thank the author!

Summary: What every woman should know about her body
Review: I had no idea my body was so amazing until after I read this book. I recommend it to every woman I know, whether she's trying to get pregnant or not. This book contains information that every woman should know.

I also disagree with a prior review that stated this book is only for woman without fertility issues. The information that is captured through charting is the perfect starting point for figuring out fertility issues. Not to mention the fact that you can seek professional help much earlier if you've determined from your chart that you have a problem.
